Hi there,
just bought a new PC, and I play EB too fast now! so here's a question... how to make EB run slower? :laugh4:
seriously now, I was wondering if itis possible to play with larger size unit than the huge size. I tried to change the number of men in the preferences, and if it shows the proper new nmber in custom battle, in the campaign I can't get more men than the basic huge size.
Anybody would help and explain what to do to play, say, with 500 men per unit?

Turn grass up all the way, turn on all of the shiny armor effects, turn up everything else all the way.
Follow the instructions in "How to make EB look better". Tuning everything up should do the trick.
If it's still too fast, run RTW, wait until the title screen is loaded, press Alt Tab, Ctrl Alt Del and find RTW in the processes tab and set it to a lower prioirity.

I think you will not solve the main problem here. With maxing out the graphic settings you won't affect the CPU, IMO this is the point you want to look for. There must be some 'misinterpretation' of the RTW structure either by Your CPU or by the OS. If you are using Vista/Win7 be sure to run EB/RTW in compatibility-mode for XP (settings can be found in the preferences of the RTW/EB exe). If you are using some sort of Athlon CPU try to set RTW to another mode. The CPU things can ruin a system, so be careful, backup or don't do it.

Well, using high end system, and playing RTW emulated in Linux's winbox could give dramatically improved speed of windows based games..... But AFAIK, it was still acceptable in EB (not too fast)... I'm quite sure that you must own a system which over 3,5 GHz Quad Core
play the game in your old pc jajajajajaj i have the same problem but a dont want to run slower i want bigger units !!!

None of the answers above will likely solve your problem (Had no problems playing this on a top-of-the-line gaming rig running windows 7, before or after loading up on the graphics settings). I can think of only one two thing:
There is an option in battles to fast forward / time warp the game from 2x speed to 4x speed. Check that you haven't somehow accidentally turned this on.

It isn't possible to play with unit sizes any larger than the huge setting.
