I had no problems with the save.
But I do like to point out that it's necessary to compress the save file(make a .rar or .zip file) and then upload it.
Uncompressed files have higher chance becoming corrupted.

Taking my cavalry I engaged the small Roman force moving to relieve Aquincum, it was a clear victory for our people. More of our forces have surrounded the Roman city, but still they do not relent to our terms. Meanwhile, more of our forces have moved West, followed by both of my sons. (I have moved Marobobuus, Lord of Lent)

Winter 367 Report

Military

Firstly I engaged Captain Hannibalianus of the Western Roman Empire with my cavalry on the outskirts of Aquincum, before finally attacking the city proper with the bulk of my forces. I am glad to report that I brushed aside the governor of the city, Spurius Flavius, and his men. Aquincum was sacked.

With a healthy supply of food and gold, I have continued my journey West. My son Gildo (Madoushi) and the army I have given him are currently following me. Also, I have permitted my son Maroboduus (Lord of Lent) to have four more units of Horse Archers. In exchange, I have reinforced the depleted army with his elite infantry. We must keep a certain balance between our armies, lest one become a hindrance.

Oza (Braden) has arrived in Northern Italy.

Military

Several notable events have occurred. I have besieged the Roman city of Carnuntum, while my son, Maraboduus (Lord of Lent), has besieged Campus Quadi. Our Captain Boiocalus, left behind near Aquincum was not permitted to leave by Captain Flavius and Captain Scudilo, leaders of angry men over the sacking of their city.

The battle was anything but fierce, as both armies of rabble were easily routed, which gave Captain Boiocalus a clear victory.

I was just about to report that the two Roman cities in Gallia are basically without garrisons when this guy, Marcus the Gambler, appeared out of nowhere! And he brought a large and well equipped army with him.

King Visimar moved west and an army led by the captain followed him. Another Captain led army is also heading west through the forests of Germania.

Military

Marcus the Gambler and his large Roman force is heading west to Samarobriva. Only a small band of troops was left behind(2 Limitanei & 1 Archer unit).

In the deep forests of Germania our Captain Tancred met Hortar, the Heir of the Alemanni. He is slowing down our already slow movement there.

Roman captain Galerius is just south of Augusta Vindelicorum. Since there was a large army near Mediolanum some years ago then this must be part of it. I think they have many units of Comitatenses with them.

Nothing to report. I might bribe some of the Roman armies if I see them on my way to Rome though.

Just click Links/Downloads.
Now, you should select 2010 from the PBM category.
Under Home/Forum/Chat etc you should see Add Entry. Click it.
Enter the name of the file(in our case VI-370s-2), scroll down to Upload file and upload your file. Finally press Submit.
Then you can see recently uploaded files. Just copy link location to your file and post it in here.

Military

Captain Eraric attacked brigands led by Phocas. Brigands retreated and Captain Eraric besieged Augusta Vindelicorum as well.

Alemanni heir have disappeared. Possibly it's him who built their watchtower a bit south of Captain Tancred. If Maroboduus want's to attack him then that is the place he should look.

Also, it seems that Eastern Roman Empire have conquered Aquincum. Should we be afraid?

Military

Captain Eraric attacked brigands led by Phocas again. He killed them all and then tried to scare a small Roman army away from the river crossing. It worked and Romans retreated. However, Eraric died few days later and Captain Gaioboramus took control over that army.

Captain Tancred headed south hoping to catch Alemanni heir, Hortar. Though they were close to Hortar in the end of winter they lost him again in the beginning of Summer.

Captain Gaioboramus attacked a small Roman Army and destroyed it.

Captain Tancred is close to the capital of Alemanni.

A large Roman Army came from Italy and is just south of Augusta Vindelicorum. Perhaps king Visimar should attack the city before the Romans flank our forces?

Military

Captain Gaioboramus attacked rather large Roman army led by Captain Galerius. His army had a large number of comitatenses and foederati units and they proved to be quite difficult to beat.

Captain Tancred is currently next to the capital of Alemanni. I ordered him to stay there and not besiege the city because Alemanni have too many warriors and could easily overwhelm Captain Tancreds mostly peasant army.

I first proposed them ceasefire and demanded 2000 denari during the next 5 years(1000 denari/10 turns) but they refused and offered to pay us only ~2200 denari. In the end they agreed to pay us 2500 denari and they allowed us to pass through their lands.. for now.

Captain Tancred is currently next to the capital of Alemanni. I ordered him to stay there and not besiege the city because Alemanni have too many warriors and could easily overwhelm Captain Tancreds mostly peasant army.

I would just like to point out the irony of relying on a man named Tancred to not attack a foreign capital.

Engaged the Alemanni prince. He fled (through Gaibomarus' army which hadn't entered the battlefield, I can add) next to Visimar. Re-engaged and forced a battle ending in a clear victory. The Alemanni prince died in a melee in which Gildo was involved.

Alemanni capital is still besieged by king Visimar.

Moved Captain Gaiobomarus towards Samarobriva. Captain Tancred moved towards the town north of Augusta Treverorum. If we should attack the Romans again then they are in a position where they can attack them quite easily.

Frankish warlord Chariomerus attacked Maroboduus. It was a small skirmish and thus nothing important happened.(The Franks attacked Maroboduus during the AI move but the battle option didn't pop up!)

We are at war with the Franks now. Why they attacked us is unknown. Perhaps because Maroboduus have spent years on their territory?
