problem with EB-BI

HELP PLEASE!
i have installed the ferromancer's minimod BI for EB, and it worked fine (btw thank you FM).
but:
some days ago i transferred all the game EB-BI from one HD to another HD (its name is D:\Rome total war-EB)
but then, when i started it it seems to have lost the mod BI.
I explain:
the introducing video is the original of RTW (it begins with carthaginian infantry marching....)
the units like hastati and principes don't have the shield_wall ability.
moreover, when i start it, the PC gives me this advice:
failed to copy the file 'D:\Rome - Total War-EB\EB\sp game edu backup\map.rwm' to ' rome- total war-EB\EB\data\world\maps\base\map.rwm' error 2: impossible to find the specified file (this last sentence is in italian).
what to do? if i reinstall B-BI mod, it will be save-game compatible? will it work?
desperate....
maybe you already have faced such a problem; can you address me to the right thread?
help help help please.

My first guess would be that BI has the same problem as ALEX, the game doesn't work rightful outside C:\
Moving your installation (this doesn't affect functionality, just the shortcuts will not work anymore) should do the trick in this particular situation.

Otherwise, by moving your data the shortcuts won't work. I would assume that you simply can install a second time, the files should be the same afterwards. Backup your save-games before doing anything.

Or hear what Ferromancer is saying if he sees your post in the BI-thread...

thanx xsam for the quick answer. but i don't think this should be the solution.
because:
since the beginning my EB-BI was not in c:\, but in another HD. moreover, the game starts well, with the savegames working. but the units (e.g. the hastati) don't have the BI abilities.
when you say:
Backup your save-games before doing anything.
you mean that i can install a new EB-BI and then insert my savegames?

I want to said something about this issue, your export descr unit.txt was overwritten by it's older version, you could open the installation of EB-BI again, and just copy the EDU (install them to another empty folder, and just take the EDU)

Yes, if you copy your saved games to another place, install RTW, BI, EB, Ferromancers installer new, then you should have a functional and working installation. The hint by Cute Wolf would also be an option for you.

and moreover: ok i have to install: RTW/BI => EB => EBXBI by ferromancer.
a question: when/where should i install the EB minimod pack, then?

The installation-order in my opinion should be:
RTW
BI
EB (with fixes)
the mini-mod pack
EB for BI (this includes the fixes, if you want to have the BI-abilities you should install this last)

How was the order as you installed it the first time?

actually i don't remamber when i did, but it sounds correct.
BTW you confirm me, that if i reinstall EB and paste the savegames of the old one, i should work?

I'll confirm 100% that it works if you:

- have the 100% same installation, meaning the constellation of mini-mods must be the same (could be a problem in your case, as you don't know exactly how you installed last time)

- don't use your original save-games, meaning just put them in a save folder and use copies, if there is something going wrong you always can come back.
