i hate it. it makes my eyes water and get itchy, it ruins my clothes, it makes me sneeze, general misery.
the only thing i hate more is trig and chemistry. and thats only because you cant fail at pollen.

right now the pollen count in Atlanta is around 5,000. that is ridiculously high.

I like when the pollen in early spring turns my windshield a nice hue of green. Sweetens the scent of the air as well. I am fortunate though, I've never suffered from any allergies.

Pollen this early? Man... that global warming thing must only work in America.

It can get bad here in VA, but I fondly remember the pollenfall in the ATL. Everything coated with a half inch of yellow-green dust.

Try being allergic to dust... makes cleaning an absolute *****!

My sister moved out recently and I moved into her room while I'm home from university, and the place was an utter mess and needed a good amount of TLC and cleaning... I've never been so ill from my dust allergy before that. >.<

Word. At least when you have Hayfever you can just go inside. Dust allergies are worse :(

Did you know that you're not allergic to dust per se; or even dust mites. Rather, we are allergic to the faeces of dust mites.

What's pollen?

Essentially... it's a means of reproduction for plants.

Yup, I had my mother enlighten me to that very fact a few years ago... needless to say, I was even more repulsed! xD

Dust mites thrive in matresses too...they like the dead skill flakes! Sometimes it keeps me awake thinking about it...

Well no wonder it bothers people. I don't know that many people comfortable when something starts having sex near him/her in a public place.

That's bad enough, but imagine breaking out in a rash every time someone does it

I didn't even realise it was possible to get that much pollen. I get hayfever, so it's a good thing I don't live where you fellas do.

I am allergic to dust too.

It's a complete pain. Because it means an enormous amount of time is spend on cleaning my house by my girlfriend, which leaves her less time to spend cooking in the kitchen.

You should move to the tropics, we have no special pollinating season

That's why God invented the Sammich, If she can't multi-task you should probably trade her in for a newer model.

I was just in Alabama for work. My rental car was actually fuzzy with pollen. I don't think I've ever seen so much pollen on a car in my life. :inquisitive: We had a rainstorm, and even that couldn't wash all of it off. Thankfully it doesn't seem so bad in DC right now.

Cherry Blossoms do a good job this year?

What's pollen?
It's plants having sex and leaving their aftermath all over your car. It's disgusting, frankly. Just yesterday I found my beloved sedan covered with powdered plant sperm. GET A ROOM, TREES!

Supposedly the pollen count is off the charts this spring. I'm not sensitive to it, but a lot of people are walking around sneezing, coughing, blowing their noses, etc.

Were there cherry blossoms falling in Chanslorsville? Heard a poignant story about it somewhere...perhaps it was at another setting...Trees have urges just like anyone else!

Hehehe, saw a picture in a newspaper of some poor slob mowing the lawn and kicking up such a cloud it looked like someone operating a snowblower in a blizzard.

Powdered tree spunk, thanks for that image.
