Wait a sec... I thought you did the chun? Was this typical TKD point sparring? Details?

lol, I do Wing Tsun, as well as Taijiquan, and Taekwondo. And it was Olympic Style WTF.

(I'm the guy in the middle who does not have his face removed to protect his privacy :beam:)
This is my first foray back into Taekwondo in years. I am quite out of shape now (at least compared to a few years ago) and overweight, so it took some work to get back in. :P My school took in all three places for sparring, which is the first time that has ever happened. :beam:

There is something strangely horrific about the blurred faces above...

In any case, congratulations!

Damn, you weren't kidding when you said you were a biggun'. Did they split it up by weight, or just belts?

lol, just belts. The guy I sparred was even bigger than me. :P They don't give out trophies for each belt division, just for overall. (everyone from high white to black belt)
The guy to the right is a friend of mine, and he is only a yellow belt, and the guy to the left is high yellow. The examining Master (well...GrandMaster actually) said that never before have all three trophies been given to people of so low a rank, so it was doubly special. lol

That's.... weird. And maybe slightly dangerous. Different rules I guess. Congrats on placing.

Pfft, rolling with big guys like you isn't hard, sweetie. Sweaty mancuddling ftw.

(Disclaimer: I have NOT done absolute weight categories the few times I've competed, because I don't feel like having STFS and Vuk sized blokes collapsing my chest)

I temporarily messed up my sternum horseplayin with a big guy once.

Never again.

lol, it is not that bad. I actually sparr very gentlemanly. I used very good control and pulled my kicks right after contact. He on the other hand did his best to clobber me as hard as he could, but he could not get a single kick past my guard. My arms were quite sore afterward, but I was told that he spent the next day in a wheel chair because he was kicking my guard with such force. I have two broken ribs, but I wanted to compete anyway, so I did not declare them. :P I just kept the ole' guard really tight, and managed to walk away without taking a single kick to the chest. :P
