It's a tradition in my small little region that friends give money to the couple as a gift when they get married.
Of course just giving it is no fun.
We've put hundreds of euro's worth of coins in a barrel of lard. We've put money in a slab of concrete and we've burried it in someones rather large back yard.
This time around we're putting it in a tire of a truck and fill it up with polyurethane.

So, in what creative ways have you presented someone with a gift?

Give a box with 200 enveloppes, tell the couple only 4 of them contain money. In reality, only 3 have money in them. Enjoy being evil and how the couple goes 3 times through all the enveloppes but can't find that fourth one. Muahahaha.

I once spoke with an excited Belgian who had discovered a way to make money fast.

He glued it to the floor.

Horrible pun...

:laugh4:

EDIT: @Gregoshi: you'll only understand if you know Dutch. "he makes fast" sounds like "hij maakt vast" which could mean "he attaches to/he sticks it on"; so "he makes money fast" is "hij maakt geld vast", "he sticks money/attaches money to" -> he glues it to the floor -> laugh.

I note with approval that Louis is finally learning our beautiful and rich language
