I am using a modification of Patrick's Pagan and Jewish mod making the Sicilians Jewish and moving them to Palestine and Tripoli as their starting provinces and making the Danes Pagan.

If it is possible to change the Sicilians to a Christian Culture instead of the Muslim culture they are in the mod, would this cause the Catholic nations to quit trying to take the Holy Land? When they are set as Muslim, they do not get attacked by the surrounding countries as much as I think they should, but I wouls like to be sure that the Catholics will still crusade to the holy land.

Hmm, good point. I figured the GAs and the splitting of the Egyptian teritory would get them to fight. I had them as a muslim culture not just for building style, but so that the normal catholic culture Aragonese would be able to become Jewish. If you change what I'll tell you, you'll be able to build synagogues and such with the Sicilians in any campaign, even when their religion isn't Jewish.

But what you'd do is this: open up "crusader_build_prod13" and scroll to the bottom to find "Synagogue" and "Grand Synagogue", at the end of these lines are two simple things to change. It says "MUSLIM ... ARAGONESE" and just change those word to say like "CATHOLIC ... SICILIAN". Then in "crusaders_unit_prod11" scroll to the bottom to find "Rabbi" and the second to last bit of information in the line says "ARAGONESE", just change that to "SICILIAN" and you're all set. Hope that helps.

By the way, I'd love to see what you've done when your finished. Here's an email (leprechan5@aol.com). I had the Danes catholic cause I just liked having them declare a crusade on the 1st turn.
