View Full Version : How do i get my Frontend BIF files to load?

well ive been making up the frontend part of a total conversion that im working on, but ive stumbled in the department of the frontend... i cant seem to get my BIF files to load, and the game crashes as it starts

help here would be like heavean

hmmm, i havent started touching the frontend side for my mod, but i would guess this is a problem with the pallete.
if you could be specific with your problem, telling what files you changed, what file crashed, what program you use to edit the images, etc... it would be way easier to help.

well the one ive treid to mod first was the

mtw_logo_f1.BIF

thats the M:TW logo at the top of the menue, but whenver i use my version the game crashes

There is no such file as "mtw_logo_f1.BIF".

There is the original BIF "mtw_logo.BIF" and the BMP for the 1st frame "mtw_logo_f1.BMP".

If you used Bifreader to extract the frame, amended the BMP, then imported the frame again (into the existing BIF) you should have no problems - providing the size and name has'nt changed.

The "_Fn" suffixes are ONLY for BMPs - not the BIFs.

If you still have problems E-mail me your amended BIF and I'll take a look.
