My school offered it, but I opted to go with the normal curriculum. I know its pretty hard, but everyone in it overexaggerates it.
Its overrated imo as well.

This. Certainly in the UK, Australia, Japan etc. Not so sure about Romania.
I saw a story about a Polish guy who got 45 points in his IB (That's the maximum, IIRC 0.2% of people get that, and he was the only Pole that year), applied to do Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Balliol and got rejected :laugh4:
International Baccalaureate is not done in the UK, especially not in any Public Schools.

I'm doing it in Switzerland. There are two schools in Romania as well which are doing it.
The IB points do not amount for much, especially when it comes to US. They look for SATs. UK counts them heavily though, if you want Cambridge or Oxford you have to have at least of minimum 40 points.

In the US, the AP system is preferred over the IB. Neither will get you into a school that wasn't going to take you anyway, but they can tip the balance if you're on the line.
