View Full Version : Multiplayer Eb on steam
I have rome on steam so I have to use the set launch options box in steam to play EB, and I couldn't find out how to make it let me go into the multiplayer version of EB so I could play a custom battle.
To fix it I started the EB MP from the normal shortcut, then after it failed like normal because my RTW game is on steam I started EB from steam and it started as EB multiplayer.

Maybe you want to share your way to success by starting to describe what problem you had and which steps you took to get it working?

XSamatan I know what the OP is having trouble with (had*) and how he solved it, although I have a far more (IMO) straightforward and understandable solution.
PROBLEM
---------
I have installed Rome: Total War using Steam. I installed EB as instructed. I can play Single Player just fine, but how do I play Multiplayer EB?
SOLUTION FROM OP
--------------------
Attempt to run EB using the EB Multiplayer shortcut that comes during the installation of EB. It will give you an error message, saying that EB fails to load (as it needs to be run from Steam). Then, run EB using your Steam launch shortcut (that you already attached -mod:eb to beforehand), and you will be in EB Multiplayer mode.
SOLUTION FROM VARTAN
------------------------
If you don't have it installed already, please install Trivial Script. Open Trivial Script Configuration (shortcut is found in Start Menu). In the dropdown menu, choose Multiplayer. Click Save and Exit. Now launch using your Steam launch shortcut that you previously modified (with -mod:eb, as mentioned above). Now you are in EB MP. Go back and choose Singleplayer, Save and Exit, to play in SP again.
