Why Split, where are you? You didn't follow the plan either, that I stated in thread? Why do you need to run? Did you see something last night, well then please share?

Sorry CB that we can't do an exorcism any more on you. But you are to connected to the evil force in this house. So to save us from it, and possibly weaken the evil force, I'm afraid, I feel, you will have to be sacrificed.

I'm in the garage!
I forgot to send my fracking move orders before the night phase ended!

How come it stated in the write up that Husar was alone? Did you see anything...anything in you results card from Pizza, or haven't you gotten it yet?
Splitpersonality

I have not gotten one yet...
But I KNOW i'm still in the garage...
I get the feeling that Husar forgot to send his movement order to Pizza too, considering the writeup's note at the end; it doesn't seem like there's anyone else to blame for it, really.
Where do we proceed from here? Blackadder seems to be a fitting scapegoat, certainly, but I just don't buy it. :/

Well.
Methos, Niklas, Myself, and Winston, were all togetehr in the master bedroom.
I guess my movement order was accepted.
Good...

Contacted? The only people I PMed with and who PMed me about the game were Renata and Askthepizzaguy.
I had no idea about any plans, the topic seemed a bit empty lately and I didn't check back as often as I used to.
The only thing I can say is that it's nasty how my stuff was used against me.
So how come you didn't contact him about the plan, Diana? :/
Splitpersonality

I was also never contacted about any plans.
Apparently it was all "in thread".
That's really odd, because I was under the impression that Diana was contacting everyone about it. o_O

No, I PM the people in the last room I was in first, and didn't get some of those back, so I decided just to put it in thread, so it could go to everyone at one time, and be faster that way. Waiting for PM's back, we would have run out of time, to organize it. I didn't PM YLC, only in thread, asked him if he wanted to go to the living room with us, and he sent in his orders in to move to the living room. What more do you guys need, I said that everyone needs to move to either the living room or the bedroom. Most people, it looks like, apparently did. Good for them and us.

Actually, that PM was mistaken. I'm still in the Computer Room.
I didn't move because I don't trust Diana's motives, and there's still stuff to be learned here, including (according to my notes) one topic that has yet to be researched at all: "Cursed Places".
I really find it odd that YLC is accusing me. Did he not see the post in-thread by the host stating that no more exorcisms were allowed after day 6?

Here's what I got from the 'puter last night:
Cursed Places:
Your research on Cursed Places has turned up something interesting. It seems that malevolent spirits are attracted to places that are especially dark or well hidden from the light.
Underneath Beds
Any bedroom will contain a dark space under the bed, and that attracts malevolent spirits or demons, which is why people are instinctively afraid of the space under their beds. This darkness strengthens demons for as long as that crawl space exists.
Garage
Attic
Bathroom
Tool Shed
These places will contain sufficient darkness that demons will prefer to dwell there. The darkness strengthens demons, even allowing the demon to snuff out the light more easily.
Porcelain angelic figurine
You notice that there's an article about the angel figurine you saw in the living room which went missing, and is now shattered and in the attic. It seems this particular angel represents a fallen angel.... an angel of death and torment.
With the porcelain figurine shattered, a curse has been lifted from the house. No longer will rooms randomly become cursed.
Curses:
Any cursed room will allow demons to become strengthened in that room, regardless of how much light there is in the room.
Additional information:
There is one place which the demon hates.... it is a place of joyousness and life and light. There is a brightness to the room, an impression left behind by the feelings of shared happy experiences and warm hospitality. It is a relatively safe haven. However, no place is ultimately safe from a demon that becomes very, very strong. No matter the defense, the demon can overcome it eventually.
I'm not sure how to vote right now, but I'll give it some thought.

With a brief interlude where I suspected Diana, YLC has set off my scumdar the entire game. It's mostly a gut feeling, but strong enough that I'm willing to actually risk a mislynch on it.

Now, I think what's needed here is a Rain Dance, to wash the evil spirits away. :indian_chief:
Whatever, nice accusing me when no one was actually reading what I was saying. GG, have fun. I get to sleep 20 hours and feel like crap.
I never once accused Methos of being the Demon, I accused him him of wasting day 6's exorcism on Secura instead of CB. But you all conveniently ignore that fact and then pile up on me. Niklas has been absent and doing nothing the whole game, same with Winston. Methos jumps at the chance to kill me.
I've been with this game all along, actually trying to figure out how to help everyone, posting everything I know in public, and then get killed for it.
Unvote,Vote: CB - Because I want to live and win the game like the rest of you. Those half-:daisy: voting for me aren't voting for me to get rid of the demon, they are voting to get rid of an end round competitor, nothing more, so they can lurk to victory.
Is all the dying and the bickering really worth one million dollars? Do you really value the money over everyone else?
Victory conditions:
Solve the mystery, escape with your life, and no one wins the million dollar prize: Standard Victory
I'm playing for that level of victory, personally, even if it's not entirely in the spirit of why we're here; human life holds greater weight over monetary gain for me, and I'll take that notion to the grave to be honest. ¬_¬

What are the reasons for the votes on YLC? He has been trying to figure out things, and help solve the mystery in this house. It is alot more then some people in this game. CB has been possessed 2 times already, sorry, if it is a set up on him, but we can't have someone around that we can't "un-possess" killing people. Wish we could have done an exorcism on you, but we can't, so therefore you have to go.
Also on another note; Methos would you please post all the other info you found out on the computer. Thanks.
P.S. And anyone else with computer info also, or any info. Please.

Hey, methos....I am going to chill with ya(then again your heading to the parlor...oh well:shrug:)
I have a "gut feeling" YLC is evil....how can he get so much information, if he was in the guest room for three nights? and then in the garage for three more?(please explain:brood:)
I also think that CB is also evil but not on purpose....one of the "head vs gut scenarios"....I know this is going to haunt me for awhile but we need to get rid of one of them:sweatdrop:
And CB it is...Vote:CB
WE, I've stated somewhere that I have a book on demonology - if anyone wants to share the book, but only one person can read from it each day (o__O?). It's where I've gotten all my information from and you can check the chapters I've read to validate if you want.

I too wish to live and I will be going for the standard victory whihc I suspect will become the top victory since that might be where ATPG is messing with us.
I implore that anyone who stayed in the Master Bedroom (or the Garage, or anywhere else) last night vote to move out of it as soon as possible; consider the information that Winston posted, it really doesn't seem safe... staying there any longer with a demon that grows stronger beneath the bed or in the general darkness will only prove to be fatal in the long run.
I suggest the Parlour, as it sounds like the safe haven and the Lounge is full from the previous night, I think.

The ten survivors gathered together and began arguing quite vociferously. They could not decide whether to move or whether to lynch someone. Because they reached an impasse, they lacked the necessary votes to lynch. As such, they moved by default.
No one was particularly happy with the result. However, they were very pleased to hear that the exasperated GM said they had more time to send in "MOVE" orders...
OOC: I give up... this is obviously a game design issue. Just get your moves to me in the next 24 hours, please. :embarassed:

The ten survivors retreated to their respective rooms for the night. By now, people were starting to get used to the horrors around them.
The clock in the dining room started chiming... twelve times it chimed. The hands on the clock went from 3:33 AM and spun counter-clockwise until the clock stopped chiming. The hands came to rest on the twelve. The numbers on the face of the clock began to twist and contort.... the blood started to flow from the face of the clock, and began dripping upward... splattering on the ceiling. All the numbers on the clock turned backwards.
"Help me...."
The voice of a small girl is heard throughout the manor. Blood stains began appearing on the floor in every room.
"Please... someone.... make him stop...."
The survivors began to stir.... but they were still in a dream-like state. They rose and began to follow the sound.... follow the sound all the way to the Parlor.
"No, mister, please don't hurt me!"
They heard the noise coming from the Master Bedroom now.
"I want my mommy...."
They followed the noise all the way to the Master Bathroom.
"No, please... don't take away my dolly...."
The mirror that had been shattered was now back in place, but no one saw their own reflection. The body of TheFlax was standing in the center of the room, staring at them lifelessly. His face became contorted, and twisted.... and the metal wire twisted around his neck began to tighten until it tore the head from his body. TheFlax's head then dropped upward.... smashing into the ceiling. Blood began to pour from TheFlax's body, gushing straight up, and making a bloody mess on the ceiling. Then TheFlax's body fell upward and collapsed in a heap, coming to a rest in the bloody pool that defied gravity, next to his head.
The door to the Master Bathroom slammed shut, and the blood on the ceiling began to run across it, as if it were dripping down the wall. TheFlax's body began to slide, until it slipped and fell through the mirror, landing on the other side. The blood began to pour through the mirror, and collect on the ceiling in the other bathroom. A little girl appeared in the mirror, looking directly at all of the survivors.
rInG ArOund tHE rOsIe...
All the air in the bathroom started to blow through the mirror, and small objects began to rattle and fly through the mirror, to the other side.
pOckEt fuLL oF pOsIEs...
Blood began shooting out of the faucets and the shower head, and it began to stream across the room and through the mirror.
aSheS.... AshEs.....
The bodies of the survivors were pulled violently through the mirror and into the twisted, contorted world beyond it. A dark place that resembled the first Manor, but a mirror image of it. The survivors landed on the floor of the otherworldly Master Bathroom.
wE aLL fAll dOwN.
The body of TheFlax and all of the blood on the ceiling suddenly fell downwards, landing on the ten survivors. The door to the bathroom they were in slammed shut, shattering the mirror. Everything went black.

You have until 23:59 (11:59PM) June 7th (GMT-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada) to place your vote for either the LYNCH or to MOVE to a different room. That is approximately 2 and a half days from now.
You cannot both lynch and move in one day, so you may only choose to do one with your vote.
I will now send out the description of the rooms you are in privately. You may interact with the room during the day phase.
If you are going to MOVE, I will need to know where by the end of the DAY phase. I realize that it causes problems for me due to the game mechanics if the day phases creep over into the night phase. So please, send me your movements before Day is over.

Perhaps if it truly is a mirror world, turning the lights on will make them go "on" and add sunshine units?

I don't know, but all I see from the write up is the lights saved Niklas, so keep all the lights on, all the time. With no light in this world there maybe a murder anytime "day" or "night". This is what scares me.
I thought we were all going to the parlor? Currently, its just Split and I here.
Can we have a tally of all the light sources in the living room? I have a sneaking suspicion I know what the grandfather chimes at the beginning of the write ups are now - the demon's strength. Not sure what the digital clock means though :\.
Also, please people, gather up - if your not in a room with everyone else, your almost certain to die at this point.

White_Eyes:D, why the pessimistic attitude? This whole fiasco is in our minds, and the only way to win, is to lynch ourselves, therefor freeing ourselves from the dream state.

Do we have a plan that extends beyond "huddle together and wait for the demon to overpower us"?
It strikes me that yet another day spent moving about the place, rather than lynching potential badguys, is playing into the beast's hands (claws?). After all, our host says that this can be played like a normal mafia game, and normal mafia games are won by lynching the bad guys. A game where the town continually pass up the opportunity to lynch is one that the mafia will find it rather too easy to win. So...
vote: Captain Blackadder
Aside from being the demon's favourite puppet, I notice he's the one person still alive who's posted less than me. I'm still suspicious of YLC and Diana, but I've realised that it's rather hypocritical to call for them to be lynched, given that I've complained in the past about quiet people being given an easy ride. :embarassed:

To the earlier question how much light source we have; I have 2 lamps and some candles.
Finally, we will start to lynch someone, I've said this before, this is a mafia game, so we need to start lynching. Vote: Lynch- Captain Blackadder
Does anyone else get the feeling, that this so called, million dollar mission, we are on, really doesn't exists, it is just a ruse, and this game is only to solve the mystery, lynch the bad guy, and survive. Like a regular mafia game. I don't know for sure, just a gut feeling.
@ Methos
What is up, I've asked you several times to post what you learned in your computer searches. I have yet to see these posts.
I can't help but wonder what good it will do for us to present the light sources in public. How does that matter to us, and won't it help the demon more, to know exactly what it has to overcome?
I'm with the lynch-happy crowd though, we need to start whittling down the list of suspects. And I'll follow Winston in putting my money where my mouth is and lynch an inactive: vote: Captain Blackadder

The ten survivors finally had enough.... and decided that one among them was masquerading as an innocent victim, but was really an inhuman monster. Several of them stepped forward and accused the one known as....
CAPTAIN BLACKADDER!!!
https://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb225/askthepizzaguy/EPYC/Blackadder.jpg
Winston Hughes stepped forward and roared "Let's get him! He's obviously guilty!"
Diana Abnoba concurred. "That's what I've been saying! Why is he even still alive? GOSH!!!"
Niklas stamped his feet and harrumphed. "Time to start killing people...." he muttered. "Killing people is good. It leads to good things. So yes, I'm also in favor of that particular course of action."
Captain Blackadder stood up and shouted in agreement. "GOOD IDEA!!! LET'S GET HIM!!!"
YLC protested a little bit and suggested "I dunno guys. I think we should move and make ourselves nice and safe from, you know, the demon and stuff."
Captain Blackadder turned and looked at him with a puzzled expression. "Why on Earth would we do something as sensible as THAT?"
YLC stared back, a bit flabbergasted. He had no rebuttal.
Captain Blackadder continued. "Come on, gentlemen! Ladies! It's time to kill me, so come and kill me, wheeeeeee!!!"
Captain Blackadder grabbed a chair and placed it in the center of the parlor, and grabbed a power cord and cut it in half, and then began tying his own arms down to the chair. Within just a few moments, he was stuck in the chair, with his arms tied tightly to the armrests. "How did he do that?" YLC asked cautiously. "I am not entirely sure..." White_Eyes commented. TheFlax's lifeless head raised up, and said "Hey! That makes no sense!" and then fell back down, just as lifelessly. Captain Blackadder just whistled cheerfully. "So, how are we going to do this? Wait, wait, I know! Do an exorcism on me, that will be fun!"
Methos shrugged and decided to perform an exorcism, just to see if that did anything. "Can I have a volunteer for the egg-throwing?"
White_Eyes stepped forward and grinned maliciously. "I think you know that I'd be interested in participating in such."
Methos looked around and asked if anyone would like to splash Blackadder with holy water. Secura raised her hand. "I'm not a big fan of payback, but if it is just water, then sure."
<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/qsvvflleAIg&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xd0d0d0&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="https://www.youtube.com/v/qsvvflleAIg&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xd0d0d0&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="25"></embed></object>
https://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb225/askthepizzaguy/EPYC/DancingChicken.png
Methos began. "Okay guys! You know what to do!"
They all stood around Captain Blackadder and began chanting in Latin. Captain Blackadder just grinned.
Methos snapped his fingers, and Secura came charging into the room, and dumped a bucket of liquid all over Captain Blackadder. Captain Blackadder started laughing.
Methos looked at her puzzlingly. "What was that?"
"All I could find was some leftover motor oil in the lawnmower." Secura said.
"What about the sink? Doesn't water come out of that?" Methos noted.
"Oh yeah. That might have worked." Secura said. "My bad."
"Okay, hit him with the eggs!"
White_Eyes stepped forward and began pelting Captain Blackadder with the eggs. Unfortunately, these eggs were rotten and smelled absolutely terrible. They were black and green on the inside. Blackadder just kept on smiling. But White_Eyes wasn't done. "Open up, Cap'n!" Captain Blackadder opened his mouth, and White_Eyes began stuffing the eggs inside his mouth. Blackadder started gagging, but took it like a trooper. Then, White Eyes took one of the chairs and smashed Blackadder over the back of the head with it, causing him to bite down on the rotten eggs. Somehow, through all the gagging and choking and bleeding, Blackadder still was giggling and shaking with laughter.
"He's not dead yet. I also don't think that any of this would do anything against a demon." White_Eyes said.
"Very well.... what do you suggest?" Methos said.
White_Eyes took out a large blade and sat on Captain Blackadder's lap, facing him. Then he forced Blackadder's head back, exposing his neck. "I promise I'll make it quick!" White_Eyes said. He began to saw through Captain Blackadder's neck, although not very well.
"Whoops, sorry about that." White_Eyes said, as he ended up slipping and cutting Blackadder's jaw instead. "Just a few more inches and you'll be dead, shhh."
Blackadder started screaming in pain, while gagging on the eggs and blood.
"Oh, sorry, that's your collar bone. I'm trying to aim for your jugular vein, quit squirming."
Blackadder started trying to butt heads with White_Eyes, which made White_Eyes a little frustrated, so he punched Blackadder in the nose. But then the chair's legs broke and the two men fell over. White_Eyes landed on his back and Blackadder and the chair landed on top of him, with Blackadder bleeding all over the place and squirming. White_Eyes was trapped.
"Help! Help! He's got me pinned!" White_Eyes pleaded.
The other rolled their eyes and helped get Blackadder off of White_Eyes. "See? He's dangerous. Lucky you had me around to finish him off, he might have hurt someone!" White_Eyes said.
Blackadder started laughing again. "Heh, you can't even kill a man who is tied down and wants to die!"
White_Eyes looked at him with evil eyes, and started storming towards Blackadder. He grabbed another chair and was about to bust Blackadder upside the head with it, but Blackadder ducked, and White_Eyes overextended and fell forward, landing on the ground.
"I meant to do that!" White_Eyes proclaimed.
Blackadder just laughed and laughed. "You've made my final moments very enjoyable, sir. Thank you."
"Glad to be of service" White_Eyes said, sheepishly.
"Oh, for the love of biscuits..." atheotes walked over, grabbed the blade White_Eyes dropped, and decapitated Captain Blackadder in a single swing.
"Good job, my friend! You'll clearly be as good as me one day." said White_Eyes.
Then White_Eyes looked toward the computer screen and addressed the game host. "Hey, didn't you basically steal that joke from the Daggers in the Night game?"
"Yes. But I rather enjoyed it, and felt it would bear repeating." Askthepizzaguy said, as he quickly scurried behind the fourth wall from whence he came.
Captain Blackadder was lynched. He was innocent.

The nine survivors retreated to their respective rooms for the night.
White_Eyes had a bad feeling about this. "Oh, I can feel it.... I know I'm going to die... I know I'm going to die.... woe is me. Woe is me. I have no chance of escape. It's totally hopeless. I tried to tell them all, but they wouldn't listen to me. I told them it was pointless to even keep trying. The most logical move was to give up. Surrender is a perfectly acceptable alternative in extreme circumstances. The demon may be gracious enough...."
Before he could finish, the grandfather clock in the dining room began to chime. THIRTEEN times it chimed. The hands on the clock began to spin counter-clockwise.... and continued to spin until the numbers on the clock began to glow. Soon after that, all the numbers on the clock fell off except for the 1 and the 3. The hands on the clock stopped on those numbers. The pendulum at the bottom of the clock stopped swinging.

I just received yesterday's research:
Cursed Places, Part II:
You discover that there are no more cursed places than the ones you learned about before. So, you decide to look for cursed objects and that place that demons don't like very much.
Cursed Objects:
Power tools, butcher knives, blades of any kind, beds, ceiling fans, coat hangers, furniture, mirrors, and yard equipment are all cursed objects. If they are in the same room as someone, they aid the demon's strength and can be used against the people in that room.
Any object which does not provide light is generally a threat. The other objects can be used as weapons by the supernatural.
These objects could potentially be used by mortals as strength-boosting objects, should they ever find themselves in a situation where they would need to kill one another, or fight off mortal attackers. Even a piece of broken furniture could be used in this way. But holding those objects before the demon is slain causes one to become a bigger target.
You note that, from your own observations, the only place the demon has struck and anyone lived to tell about it, was the Living Room. You do a little more research and you learn that the Living Room is quite literally the place that is "full of life".
Figures. Another stupid riddle.
You note that the living room has an amplifying effect; all objects which create light will increase in strength by 1.5 when held inside the living room.
Given that the demon was just barely repelled by the light last time, and the demon seems to be gaining in strength all the time, you feel that there's very little time left before the demon will be able to overcome the light in the living room, even at maximum strength. After 11 days of strengthening, the Demon seems almost unstoppable. There may be no safe places left at all to move to. The only course of action is to fight.
Who was it that said that the Parlour was the safe place?
And what should I research today? The choices are:
1. History of the house (already researched twice)
2. Folklore and Demonology (already researched once)
3. News Reports on Demon Sightings (already researched once)
4. Cursed Places (already researched twice)
5. Church teachings (already researched once)
6. Scientific studies on hauntings (already researched once)
Who was it that said that the Parlour was the safe place?
T'was slashandburn (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2500609&viewfull=1#post2500609), funnily enough; he's not even in this game and posts when he's really quiet in ones he does sign up to! :P
Your research is interesting, but it leads me to ask again... what the fudge are we supposed to do? It says that 'the only course of action is to fight'... but fight how? Do we vote: demon?! Do we PM Pizza and say we want to target the demon at night? Just how do you even fight something that appears to be the equivalent to a combined movie experience of The Ring & The Grudge? -_-'

Well Winston, we may not need you to do any more research (and join us in a safer place) if Methos would just post his results, from his several computer searches, like I have asked him to do several times! (and anyone else that has been on the computer)!
What is the hold up Methos, I thought before that you were trying to help, but now maybe it seems you were trying to hinder. Post your results, all of them, so we don't waste any more time redoing what you have already done. If not done soon (by this phase) you will get my vote to lynch you. I asked nicely before, but maybe you need more pressure to comply. Granted. :smash:

@ Secura
My understanding is that one of us is the mafia, this is a mafia game after all. Lynch that player, kills the "evil force". As far as I know.
My book feels suddenly useless - most of the chapters relate to light oriented objects. That would've helped in the early rounds, when we had the chance to collect things.
vote: atheotes
Why, you might ask? Well, it's probably easiest to take a look at his posts, or lack thereof, and see what you think yourself.
On the third night, TheFlax is killed, and during the following day phase, every player (including myself and Beefy, both replacements) manages to post, but atheotes fails to appear until the phase is complete. Having been 'absent' from the game for the past five days (though we don't seem to acknowledge said absence!), atheotes states that he wasn't online (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2490459&highlight=#post2490459) and thus couldn't process his orders for the night, which seems to appeal to our better nature and make us believe that he couldn't have been responsible for Flaxy's death.
This is not the first attempt to prove his innocence; after the night concludes and YLC requests the actions of everyone, atheotes dutifully obliges (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2491101&viewfull=1#post2491101) and again manages to reiterate that he failed to process orders to Pizza. He then deftly diverts attention to White_eyes:D in order to not have to discuss his lack of actions, by stating that White_eyes:D was clearly the party responsible for switching the electricity off, something already stated by both Niklas and Winston Hughes.
He does not stop there, however, as he later presses Methos into ensuring that White_eyes:D does not tamper with the computer (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2491156&viewfull=1#post2491156) while Methos is using it; prior to this post, our attention had been diverted to the tool shed, it's contents and possible signs of blood, and this post from atheotes is a possible attempt to turn our attention back to White_eyes:D and his tampering with the circuit breakers.
I must say before I proceed that I find it very odd that Methos did not challenge this statement from atheotes; having stayed in the Computer Room on the seventh night with Diana, Beefy, Winston and Methos himself, I can tell you that only one person is permitted to use the computer at any one time, thus Methos would have had to have stopped using it for it to be tampered with by White_eyes:D... Methos should have known this information too, so why didn't he take atheotes to task on his statement?
Later we see atheotes post two PMs from the host in-thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2491200&highlight=#post2491200); on the outside this appears to be a response to Renata's earlier questions, but it also comes across as a third attempt to reassure us that atheotes is following the same goals as us by showing us signs of fear and anguish in his PMs.
Following the attempted exorcism upon White_eyes:D, who was very much the number one suspect at that point, people began to ask the significance of the chicken dance, something atheotes shrugged off entirely (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2491248&highlight=#post2491248)... an attempt to lead us to believe the process was pointless, perhaps?
Following an attempt to look helpful by making a suggestion about the clock (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2492745&highlight=#post2492745) and yet another attempt to appear innocent (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2495007&highlight=#post2495007), atheotes proceeds to 'agree' that the town's exploration of the house is going nowhere (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2495130&highlight=#post2495130), and subtlely suggests that he might adopt typical mafia tactics as a way to approach the game; does he mean kills or lynches?
Having taken this harder stance, however, he then contradicts himself in his next post (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2495277&highlight=#post2495277) by voting to do the very thing that he saw as pointless!
Then, in his final post of the thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2495674&highlight=#post2495674) thus far, atheotes spots Diana's argument against Beefy and jumps upon it almost immediately with his own vote, declaring that the lynch will get the game moving even though the accusations were largely baseless in the first place (sorry Diana!). When it transpires that more people voted to move than to lynch, Beefy was killed overnight anyway... mere coincidence or something more?
Now, I am aware that this post was made over two weeks ago and that he's not cropped up since, but he has been active since that post; within the next three days we saw Beefy evade that lynch and then die during the night, during a time that atheotes was still posting in both the Resident Evil discussion thread and repeatedly in Daggers of the Night. So why did he fail to comment on Beefy's death, even if it was merely to acknowledge his motion to lynch him was incorrect?
I readily admit that it is possible that atheotes is simply busy with exams or work etcetera, but it's perfectly plausible given his previous behaviour up to this point that he's still popping up to post orders and relying upon the YLC-Methos situation to help him stay below the radar, and that is why he gets my vote.
o_____O;...
O_____o;...
O_____O;...
Well, that was a sledgehammer from nowhere.
I was talking to someone about my playing style, and it came up that I'm usually too reserved in my accusations and usually keep them to myself or go along with those of others; they told me that attitude wasn't going to help against the demon and that lynching was the way to deal with it.
While I can understand, and to some extent support, your vote for Methos, I felt atheotes had been just as suspect despite his recent drop in activity; it doesn't necessarily mean he's not still dropping by for orders... cos if he's been languishing around in the same room for the last two weeks worth of updates, he should have been easy pickings for the demon by now. :S

Uh oh. I think I may have broken the computer. I researched "Scientific Studies on Hauntings" and, after giving me the info below, the comp shorted out...
6. Scientific studies on hauntings
There have long been rumors of houses being haunted by ghosts, but scientific evidence is inconclusive as to whether there have actually been any real hauntings. In general, ghosts are supposed to be former human beings; the souls of the dead. Although these ghosts can be benign or malevolent, usually there is some shred of humanity in these beings. Science however cannot back up any of these claims. There have also been reports of angel sightings, but angels do not generally "haunt" houses.
Demons, however, are also believed to appear and cause events which are similar or worse than ghostly hauntings. The general consensus is that demons are not human, never were human, and are purely malevolent.
While science has found nothing conclusive to prove the existence of demons, throughout history there have been strange and unexplained homicides which have yet to be solved. Many examples of these had circumstances where the deaths were ruled a suicide because it was simply impossible for anyone else to have been responsible. But the manner of death in those cases seem contradictory to self-inflicted murder, because the victim of his or her own actions would be in severe agony.
There have also been cases of otherwise ordinary people with sane psychological profiles being convicted of gruesome murders that they claim they weren't responsible for, even though all evidence shows that they were. Often times they assert that the "Devil" made them do it, or that they were possessed by a demon. Some confessed murderers admit to their crimes, but still claim another outside force controlled them and forced them to do it.
While this evidence is nothing more than witness testimony and is not conclusive, it has happened enough times where it may be the most plausible explanation other than mass hysteria or drugs.
Scientists investigating houses that are claimed to have demons inhabiting them have recorded video of odd happenings at night, which have remained unexplained, some of which include:
flashing lights
loud noises
hallucinations
Some scientists investigating this phenomenon went missing and were never found, or were later found dead with grotesque wounds. Because of this, very few people have tried to prove or disprove the existence of demons, and demonology as a science hasn't expanded beyond rumor, speculation, and inconclusive evidence.
That was the initial article, but I also got this as well:
Science is a little fuzzy on whether any of this is possible, but some secret files were removed from government computers and posted anonymously on the internet, on multiple redundant websites.
The existence of Demons has been confirmed by the government. Houses and other property which are confirmed to be inhabited by Demons are often repossessed by the government by use of Eminent domain. The house is then promptly destroyed, and some excuse is given for demolishing the place, often times to build some unnecessary highway.
The grisly murders that happened at this residence were long suspected to be caused by the Askthepizzaguy family, and because the information about demons and the purpose of eminent domain is unknown to the public officials of this particular state, no one has ever targeted this house for condemnation. In an interesting twist, somehow the taxes on this property always get paid, and that is reason enough for a cash starved government to look the other way. They must make a fortune on this place.
You're fairly sure this demon is of the photosensitive variety, and you've also heard the name "Lucifuge" mentioned, so you look up photosensitivity and "Lucifuge" on the interwebs.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucifuge_Rofocale
The name Lucifuge comes from two Latin words; lux (light; genitive lucis), and fugio (to flee), which means "[he who] flees the light". The proper pronunciation of "Rofocal", one should note, is an anagram for Focalor, which is the name of another important demon who is possibly in his servitude.
The name seems to fit, as well as the fleeing from the light, but somehow you get the feeling this isn't the Demon's true name.
You look up other demons with the name Lucifuge, and find another interesting name... "one who misleads..." There's a picture of a dog with the wings of a griffin.
Thanks for the vote of confidence, at least; after I was told that lynching was the only way to oust the demon, I started reading the thread, particularly prior to my replacing of johnhughthom, and atheotes' posts just struck a chord, I guess.
I could be wrong, it's always a possibility, but I don't think his playing did him any favours; to me, it comes across as posting enough to pass by, and his recent absence doesn't alleviate my suspicions because it's perfectly plausible that someone could still turn up to submit orders, particularly as he was posting heavily in the Daggers thread up-to and surpassing the time in which we learned Beefy had been killed overnight. And, as I stated, it feels odd that he's have been languishing in the same room for two weeks worth of updates and hasn't been met with the Wrath of God or been the demon's next kill.
To be honest, at this stage there's quite a few candidates for lynch, it's just that atheotes stands out the most due to his posts and activities at night.
Winston: if the computer has really died, I'd suggest you find a room with more light and head there; make sure it's not a bedroom. :3
Alright, looking back over my night results, I've realised that atheotes has been in the Living Room for the past two nights; prior to that I was in the Computer Room so I don't know his movements.
Can anyone else attest to any locations they have been in since Beefy's death (and thus, atheotes' last posts) where atheotes has been in the room too? Trying to ascertain if he has been submitting orders or not, because as it stands, it's possible he's been sat stagnating in the Living Room this entire time and that's why he's not been killed by the demon; it doesn't explain a lack of WOG, though.

My results as well have him the last 2 night in the living room (was also in the write up 2 nights ago IIRC, him being in the living room). Nothing before the past 2 nights, on his movements, that I'm sure of.
I've read through his posts again but he only divulges his movements for the first four phases, nothing from there onwards.
It is possible that he headed to the Lounge shortly after that and has been there since, but it really does beg the question why he hasn't been WOG'd after two weeks; whether I am right or wrong, he's a sound lynch.
As much as my heart is not really in this vote, let's vote:atheotes, better to lynch than not to lynch.
Who would you suggest as an alternative?
That's interesting... any solid reasons?
Better to share than to keep them to yourself; that or I can go through the thread and find them. :P

The remaining survivors walked over to atheotes, and accused him of being a demon. One of them, Secura, even began prosecuting atheotes with a very well-prepared and thoughtful case. She looked like nothing less than Phoenix Wright.

And THAT, my friends, is why atheotes is guilty!!!

Secura: But Phoenix Wright was a Defense Attorney, not a prosecutor.
Right, right... well I don't know any famous prosecutors. Don't correct the Narrator! The Narrator is all-knowing and all powerful. I can write you in or out of the story at will!
Secura: I assure you, I'm sufficiently frightened by that. Don't let the bored expression fool you.
Good. Now, she laid out a devastating case, which made atheotes absolutely speechless. He was stunned... almost motionless. In fact, when Secura walked over and touched atheotes, it seemed as though he were already dead.
Secura: Perhaps the shock of being accused is what did it?
No, no I am afraid not. You see, atheotes has been inactive for about two weeks now. I'm afraid he's not only dead, but rotting at this point. I was going to WOG him this round if you had picked someone else.
Secura: Oh. My bad.
In fact, poke him in the face, watch what happens.
Secura: Okay...... *poke* OH MY GOD, HIS HEAD CAME OFF!!!!
Yep. He's really, completely, 100% dead. He's not even pining for the fjords, nor is he tired and shagged out from a long squawk. Bereft of life, he rests in peace, and he's joined the choir invisible.
AND ATHEOTES WAS NO MORE!!!

BEGIN NIGHT ELEVEN.
He should have been WOG'd sooner, in my opinion, but fair enough; it was always going to be a case of either finding the demon or removing deadwood.
Should I survive the night, I do have another line of enquiry to chase up; it'll be more fun to accuse with someone who'll argue back.

Night Eleven
https://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb225/askthepizzaguy/EPYC/moonlit-night-sky.png
The seven survivors retreated to their respective rooms for the night. The grandfather clock still had the glowing numbers 1 and 3 illuminated. The clock began to chime fourteen times. When it finished, the number 3 twisted into the number 4, and the clock face read "14". At this point, Splitpersonality woke from a nightmare. He looked around, and saw the twisted, backward manor.... and the blackness outside of it, through the windows. All of a sudden it occurred to him that he could try the front door of this very manor. So he stepped carefully over Methos' body, and turned the knob on the front door. Surprisingly, it was unlocked.
He stepped outside.....
https://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb225/askthepizzaguy/EPYC/52106HauntedMansion2.jpg
It was cold outside. There were no stars.... there were no crickets or familiar animal sounds. Splitpersonality couldn't even see the ground... it was pitch black. But there was rain... and the sound of storms off in the distance.
Little boy at peace
what is this place....beyond the stars?
Open up your eyes
what are these things....you're moving toward?
Head so full of wonder

NO!!!
https://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb225/askthepizzaguy/EPYC/hell-fire-evil-night.png
Splitpersonality stepped off the front porch and his foot landed on the paved walkway leading off into the darkness. But there was nothing supporting the paved walkway... and he began falling.... falling toward a bright, horrifying light that seemed to be miles beneath him as he fell into the abyss....
He screamed, arms flailing, trying to grab onto something, but there was nothing...
He fell for what seemed like forever... the light seemed to be getting brighter.... but he suddenly saw his own reflection streaking towards him, and then he smashed into it.
The mirror shattered, and his flesh was ripped to pieces... the glass exploding into shards, ripping into his skin. He fell further.... not even slowing down. The tiny shards of glass began to bore into his skin, carving his body to pieces from the inside out. He screamed, and a swarm of mosquitoes escaped from his mouth, and so he started choking. The kept coming.... it was horrible. Then he smashed into another reflection of himself.
This time it was not a mirror, but the surface of a reflecting pool of salt and acid.... strangely thin enough to be considered a mist... like an atmosphere, not a true ocean. Split's body burned in agony from the acid, and the salt ripped through his wounds.
Further and further he fell.
He could feel it getting hotter and hotter, as he fell through the salt acid fog. When he landed, it was in a lake of fire.... and he sank like a rock, while the swarm of insects continued to pour out of his mouth, and the shards of glass ripped him apart from the inside.
He could feel clawed, bony hands gripping him, covering his mouth... he couldn't see anything, as his eyeballs had been melted away. He felt the terrible jaws of fanged demons sinking into his bloody flesh, and he felt his limbs being torn clean off of his body. He couldn't struggle... he couldn't breathe.... and he was boiling and cooking.... somehow, remaining conscious the entire time.
He tried to wake up from the nightmare, but he could not. It was too real.... more real than anything he had ever experienced before.
The pain and the agony and the surreal got to Split's brain.... and his mind snapped. While he was being tormented, all the pleasant thoughts of his life escaped from his mind... all he could think about was the pain.
He heard screaming.... but he was too far gone to realize it was coming from himself.
Morning Twelve
In the morning, everyone found the front door tightly locked, and Splitpersonality was just.... missing.
Their options remained the same... either they would eXpLOrE the manor or they would have to mURdER someone.

BEGIN DAY TWELVE.
You have until 23:59 (11:59PM) June 13th (GMT-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada) to place your vote for either the LYNCH or to MOVE to a different room. That is approximately 46 hours from now.
You cannot both lynch and move in one day, so you may only choose to do one with your vote.
You may interact with the room during the day phase.
If you are going to MOVE, I will need to know where by the end of the DAY phase. I realize that it causes problems for me due to the game mechanics if the day phases creep over into the night phase. So please, send me your movements before Day is over.
You did not move or exchange items last round, so your room description and inventory remains the same.
I think I should start by saying something important, and it warrants saying because it forms the springboard for my suspicions today.
My accusation of atheotes, while entirely well-founded, was little more than a feint; atheotes had been acting suspect certainly, but having been absent for two weeks it was highly unlikely that he was mafia. Instead, my post was designed to generate some much-needed discussion and to gauge the responses of each remaining person to the post itself... and one person's response stood out above all others (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2504088&viewfull=1#post2504088); this is a post that, to me, screams "OH SH-".
Now, it's likely that you're thinking "why leave Secura alive after a post like that?", and you'd be right if you were talking to the average player who wouldn't hesistate to kill me; YLC is not an average player, however, and is as gutsy and calculated as they come... leaving me alive after a post such as my accusation against atheotes was always going to be a risk in the event that I turned to him next, but considering I had been wrong about atheotes and it appeared to be such a stab-in-the-dark accusation, any above-average player would have been feeling pretty comfortable with such odds. We're also talking about a player unlikely to follow through with a kill on me at that point and then shrug it off as WIFOM... so he took a risk, methinks.
Now, observe the posts following my accusation against atheotes; out of the seven players still alive, five of them cast their vote for him (myself, Split, Diana, Winston and Niklas), while Methos fails to respond at all (he's away) and YLC fails to comment beyond his aforementioned post... who will stand out most if I had been killed overnight? More than likely, it's the person who posts the more peculiar response that doesn't contribute anything to the discussion. And why would he need to comment, as we're going to lynch a fellow guest and doing his work for him and he can maintain the veneer of a confused or uninterested townie?
Having seen Renata verily accusing YLC (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2503817&viewfull=1#post2503817) throughout the last few phases and then Niklas' suggestion that YLC would make a good lynch (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2504707&viewfull=1#post2504707) followed by White_eyes:D's pointed-if-a-little-sketchy accusation (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2504744&viewfull=1#post2504744), I found myself wondering what was the driving force behind their sentiments, and I ended up reading back through the thread to find what it was I had missed; on the exterior there's nothing glaringly obvious about YLC's posts at all, he simply appears to be a helpful and active townie, which is something that you'd expect really, but there's a few things to take note of.
YLC's initial posts don't really tell a great deal until we see him vote for Niklas (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2486056&viewfull=1#post2486056), citing his target's vote for Methos as reasoning; both Methos and Zack (whom Beefy replaced) follow suit. When it seems as though moving is becoming more favourable and his trap has been sufficiently sprung, he unvotes, choses to move too and then casts an FoS at both of those who followed his vote (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2486227&highlight=#post2486227). Why do this? And then this (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2486264&highlight=#post2486264)? Yes, calling people out is part of the townie game, but his posts seem to be purposefully, if subtlely, antagonistic; it is as though he's formulating seeds of doubt at that point that will eventually bloom in the late-game, leading us to tear strips off one another while he passes by.
YLC then engages in a little tête-à-tête with Renata (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2486632&highlight=#post2486632), who had previously taken johnhughthom (whom I replaced) to task about his defense of Niklas; the majority of this is slow-paced and largely building up to a point which it seems too perfect to pass by... YLC calls Renata out (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2486661&highlight=#post2486661). Now, looking at the list of players alive at that point, Renata clearly stands out as the greatest threat to a mafioso for the aggressive, take-no-prisoners manner in which she will chase down her suspicions; she is cleverly baited into saying something out-of-turn which is then used to undermine her actions and cast her in a negative light... your biggest threat walking into a trap such as that is one of those jackpot moments, no? This is made even better when YLC then does a complete u-turn and asks for the collated results (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2487565&highlight=#post2487565) that he was all too ready to poke at previously, again striking a chord as the useful townie, something reiterated (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2489532&highlight=#post2489532) consistently over (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2489598&viewfull=1#post2489598) the coming (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2489807&viewfull=1#post2489807) phases (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2491088&viewfull=1#post2491088).
This veneer of a useful townie doesn't shake off; following the events of the second night, YLC posts an edited map of the house (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2487720&highlight=#post2487720) and states that the creature will move to the Guest Bathroom the next night... which it does, killing TheFlax. Naturally this would draw alot of attention to YLC if the paranormal deaths continued to follow the trend he helpfully suggested the creature was following; the next victim of the demon, Double A, does not die in the Computer Room as predicted, but the Kitchen instead, thereby throwing potential suspicion away from YLC, which is further alleviated by some light-hearted and humourous posts (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2491093&viewfull=1#post2491093) that I won't link-spam with. Don't forget the ultimate piece of WIFOM too (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2490932&highlight=#post2490932).
I think subsequent posts cover the same argument I've already stated, but things begin to get a little interesting when YLC votes for Methos and is heavily lambasted for doing so by Renata (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2499607&highlight=#post2499607); it is at this point that YLC loses his cool a little (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2500722&viewfull=1#post2500722) and votes Blackadder in order to try to level up the tie and save himself. Again, there's an opportunity for YLC to appear to be the consumate townie (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?127977-Murder-Manor-III-Game-thread&p=2500948&viewfull=1#post2500948); he realises that he can escape the lynch by ensuring that the move votes are equal or greater to the lynch votes (move beating lynch, as it does), and thus appeals to a few players to turn the tide, tie the votes and save himself... this selflessness naturally casts himself as a good guy in the eyes of Blackadder, Split and others; it's a fantastic success as he avoids a vote entirely in the next round.
I'm aware that YLC has been in the Living Room with the majority of players for a few rounds now, but I believe there's reasoning for this; eventually he will be powerful enough to overcome what little light we can muster in this parallel world and snuff us all out at once, rather than preying upon the scattered individuals around the house. With some of us in one room, we're easier to keep track of... it almost feels as though this has been the plan for quite a while. :/
I feel I have to apologise to everyone for how long it took me to see the light; it seems Renata has been prepped to say "I told you so" for half the game, with Niklas also having a gut feeling. I should have been paying this game a greater amount of attention from the beginning. I also apologise for the long-winded post.
As the above post is edited, I'm going to vote: YLC here in a clean one instead.
What a beautiful post and analysis, Secura.
I haven't followed the events all that much but especially the end makes sense to me, if that's the best there is then people should go for it.
And then start murdering eachother, don't forget that! ~;)
Bah, I'm going to be visiting a friend over the next two days, so it's highly unlikely that I will post anything until late Sunday.
Good luck with the lynch.

...at least until he responds to Secura's accusation.
Secura, you have absolutely nothing to apologize for. I am the one who should have made that thorough accusation many days ago, yet I haven't. And now you did it as good or better than I ever could.
vote: YLC - and this time my heart is in it.

End of Day Twelve
https://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb225/askthepizzaguy/sun_set_simla.jpg
The remaining survivors gathered in the Parlor, and waited for YLC to arrive. When he finally did, he looked at them with disdain, because he noticed they were all staring at him strangely... accusingly.
Then he smirked. "What's all this, then?"
Secura stepped forward, and began to speechify.
"Firstly, when I accused atheotes yesterday.... my bad! It was all a prank! I didn't expect you to really kill him, but he was dead anyway so no big loss. I just accused him to see what you would say, and what you said was exactly what I thought you would say!"
YLC began to chuckle. "Is she serious?"
Secura admonished him. "Quiet you. It's my turn to talk!"
"Now, you may be wondering, why am I still alive? Well there's only one conclusion for that: I must be innocent, and YLC must be guilty! Only YLC would have the kind of testicular fortitude to leave a sleuth of my caliber still alive. No offense to the rest of you."
YLC raised his eyebrow and said: O____o
Secura continued. "Renata wanted YLC dead. Niklas wanted YLC dead. White_Eyes wanted YLC dead. Well he's not dead! And do you know why?"
Everyone waited with anticipation.
"BECAUSE HE'S THE DEMON!!! Watch how he responds to the accusations against him!"
YLC yawned.
Secura continued. "See? Look! He flinched! Now, remember back to when he drew a map and tried to predict where the demon would strike? Well the demon did strike exactly where YLC said it would. But then it stopped doing that."
All warmed up, Secura launched into the ultimate speechifying of her career.
"Now, I'm not a high-priced, fancy New York City lawyer. I don't know much about fancy-schmancy concepts like innocent until proven guilty, or what circumstantial means, or what Miranda rights are. I'm just a poor girl from the country: farmin' country over in England. I didn't grow up with a silver spoon in my mouth. I used to work 16 hours a day churning butter, and plowing fields, and castrating donkeys. So let me tell you, I know a thing or two about testicular fortitude. YLC is just the kind of guy that it would take a good two or three swings of a machete just to neuter, because his cojones are that tough... and massive!"
YLC sat, quietly amused by all this.
"But look at when he gets in trouble for accusing Methos.... he turns tail and runs away! Why would he do this, if he had such big meaty ones? There's only one logical explanation... YLC must have flinched. But this is a wily man, my friends.... YLC even sounds like "Wily". It's true, because it rhymes.
So he goes and decides he wants to prove what a big, testosterone-loaded man he is, and when the vote is tied between him and Captain Blackadder, he decides to vote for move, which puts his life in jeopardy. Well, it was very convincing, no? Only a guilty man would be so nervous about his life as to do a gambit like that.
I cite you the case of The People of Inishmore versus Askthepizzaguy. You see, in a little town in Ireland, a man known as Brendan, alias Askthepizzaguy, once broke a tie against himself to make him look innocent to everyone else. It worked so well that he was never scanned by the town investigator, and never murdered by the opposing mafia. But was he innocent? NO!!!
No, my friends. Only a guilty party with big fat ones could possibly come up with such an obviously suicidal move to make oneself look innocent. The motive is clear: you do that in order to not get lynched, as a desperation tactic. Any good honest townie wouldn't bother with such extreme Wine In Front of Me, and they would take their death with gentle good humor and a sporting attitude. Yes, this man is no townie. This man is no man at all! This is a foul, foul beast of the supernatural order! A terrible ghoul, a vile incarnation of darkness!!!"
Everyone gasped in surprise and alarm.
http://appsfordays.files.wordpress.com/2010/03/phoenix.jpg
And THAT, my friends, is why YLC is guilty!!!
"Oh, but there is more, much more. YLC has also engaged in the classically scumtastic behavior of telling other people how to behave as townies! Like when he voted for Niklas, but then did an about face and condemned others for following his lead! I also cite to you the day when he did a U-turn and asked for results from everyone, after saying it was pointless.... and he has been pretending to be such a helpful townie ever since. The overly helpful townie! Why isn't he dead yet, if he's been oh-so helpful? Hmmm???"
Winston Hughes: "Yeah! What's your response to that, YLC???"
YLC: o_____O
Niklas: "Secura, I wanna have your baby! I will follow you to the grave! J'accuse, YLC!!!"
YLC: O_____o
Diana Abnoba: "Sure, why not.... YLC it is."
YLC: o_____O
No one stepped forward to defend YLC. Not even Methos, who stepped forward and said....
"I abstain, and the votes have been tallied. It looks like YLC is the candidate."
He turned to YLC and said most seriously:
"You have been accused and convicted of a jury of your peers of being the foul murderer among us. The charges against you include but are not limited to:
Murder in the first degree by coat hanger.
Murder in the first degree by cheese grater.
Murder in the second degree by mind control and amputation, then decapitation.
Murder in the second degree by cannibalism.
Murder in the first degree by cord strangulation and tearing the body in half.
Murder in the first degree by immolation and bisection.
Attempted first degree murder by piano wire.
First degree murder by lawnmower blade.
First degree murder by laceration, asphyxiation by mosquitoes, acid and molten lava burns, demonic consumption, and fall from a great height.
As well as two counts of being an accessory to murder by lynch of the innocent Captain Blackadder and atheotes. Do you have anything to say?
YLC:
Yes.... I do....

YLC:
This house belongs to me... this is MY domain.
I am the bringer of DARKNESS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucifuge_Rofocale)...
the keeper of HELL (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glasya-Labolas)...
the ONE WHO MISLEADS (http://www.statemaster.com/encyclopedia/Yeqon).
I am YEQON LUCIFUGE CAACRINOLAAS.
I have many forms... one is the form of a vicious dog with the wings of a griffin. But I am obviously not limited by physical form.
NOW FOOLISH MORTALS, YOU WILL SUFFER THE SAME FATE AS THE OTHERS!!!
I HAVE BECOME INVINCIBLE!!!
I CANNOT BE DESTROYED BY THE LIGHT-BRINGERS ANYMORE!!!
I AM IMMORTAL!!!
UNSTOPPABLE!!!
AND YOU....
ARE.....
DOOMED!!!!
Yeqon immediately picked up Methos and tossed him through the wall, landing unconscious in the Dining Room. Niklas and Winston Hughes jumped on the creature, trying to restrain it, but it was just no use. Yeqon was too powerful. He ripped Niklas off of him like a ragdoll and threw him into the ceiling, sending him crashing through into the Attic. He punched Winston Hughes in the face, and the poor man went flying into the china cabinet, sending plates and glass shards into his body. Winston Hughes dropped his flashlight in the process.
Secura ran over and grabbed the object, and switched it on. She shone it directly at the Demon Yeqon, who screeched in pain.
Yeqon:
Foolish mortals!
Your light is nothing more than an annoyance!!
You cannot kill me!!!
He knocked the flashlight out of Secura's hands, and then nodded in her direction. Secura was lifted up off of her feet by an unseen force, and she was then tossed right at the front door, which burst open, sending her body to the path outside, just above the Abyss.
Diana Abnoba ran to the light switch and turned on the lamps she had plugged in. The added light made the demon roar in pain even more, but he was not even slowing down. With a terrifying roar, Yeqon's sound waves caused the lightbulbs to shatter. It was dark once again. Then he picked up Diana and began to strangle her, without lifting a finger.
Niklas jumped down from the hole in the ceiling, and picked up Diana's light bulbs and began replacing the lamp's broken bulbs. Winston Hughes got up and picked up his flashlight, and shone it at the beast, just when the lights were turned back on. Yeqon roared in pain, and then reached out with his mind, and switched off the circuit breaker.
All the electricity in the entire house switched off. All that was left was the flashlight and the candles. Niklas quickly lit all his candles, but Yeqon screamed in his direction and they all blew out. Then he ripped the flashlight out of Winston's hands and tore out the batteries. He picked up Winston by the neck, and threw his body in the direction of the Kitchen. By now, Secura was coming to and attempting to light her candle as well. She walked toward the open front door and tried to re-enter the Manor.
Yeqon took the fold-out couch and lifted it in the air, and threw it at Secura. Then he gathered up all of the worthless lamps and also tossed them out the door with great relish.
Yeqon:
tImE tO dIE, liTTLe pIGgY....
The couch shattered as it hit the front door, and the broken wooden frame landed on top of Secura, in a heap. The lamps broke all around her, some rolling off of the concrete and falling down into the darkness. Then Yeqon grabbed Niklas and Diana Abnoba by the throats, and began to choke the life out of them.
i'M LoOkInG fOrWarD tO thIS....
________________
Winston Hughes, meanwhile, was lying face-down in the kitchen, just inches from the body of Double A. He came to, and heard the sounds of suffering in the adjacent room. He looked up, and in the darkness, he tried to come up with a plan.... and that's exactly what he did.
Winston Hughes ran over to the Grandfather Clock and grabbed the metal swinging PENDULUM, and tore it from its frame. Then he ran over to the gas range stovetop, and turned on all the burners. Amazingly, the gas stove was able to turn on, and in just a few seconds, the stove had 4 blue flames on it. Winston turned up the burners to maximum, and then lay one end of the metal pendulum right on top of the fire.
Very quickly, the pendulum began to turn red-hot.... he grabbed an oven mitt from a drawer and took the pendulum from the stove. It was now a deadly weapon, burning bright red.
https://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb225/askthepizzaguy/EPYC/redhot.png
Secura wriggled her way out of the debris, and ran inside the house. She saw the bucket of motor oil on the ground, near the body of Captain Blackadder. She grabbed it and threw it on top of Yeqon, who had nearly killed Diana Abnoba and Niklas with his slow, deliberate, torturous strangulation.
Yeqon dropped the bodies of the other two on the ground, and looked at Secura furiously.
What do you think you're doing? Now you're just pissing me off.... Are you prepared for the kind of death you've earned, little lady?....
Secura tried to light her only remaining candle, and then throw it at Yeqon. She tried to light it, and the demon stepped closer and closer... she backed away, out of the front door of the house, and tried to get behind the pile of furniture debris. But Yeqon just continued to blow out the candle.
Young fool.... only now... at the end, do you understand.
Yeqon began to shower Secura with deadly, brilliant blue lightning.
https://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb225/askthepizzaguy/EPYC/force-lighning.jpg
You will pay the price for your lack of vision.
Yeqon continued firing deadly energy at Secura, tormenting her, and making her drop the candle.
Now, young Secura.... You will die.
Winston Hughes stepped behind Yeqon. "I don't think so. This party's over."
Winston impaled Yeqon through the back with the red hot, searing metal, igniting the oil that covered his body, and setting the demon ablaze.... with hot, brilliant flames. The light damaged Yeqon more than the heat did, and it caused him to writhe in agony. The lightning that had been directed toward Secura now ripped through Yeqon's own body, and through the metal pendulum, knocking Winston Hughes to the ground in pain.
Yeqon tumbled down the steps of the Manor, burning. It began to roll on the ground to try to put out the flames, but it was little use. It then got up and shouted at the others.
I CAN KILL ALL OF YOU WITH A SINGLE THOUGHT....
BUT IT WOULDN'T BE AS MUCH FUN!!!
Yeqon pulled the red hot metal out of its chest, and threw it into the mansion, trying to hit Winston with it, who rolled out of the way.
Secura noticed that one of the broken lamps was near her body, and grabbed the remains of it. She wrapped the power cord around her hands and went behind Yeqon and began to strangle him with it like a garrotte. She dragged his flaming, choking body toward the edge of the concrete steps.
Secura: I.... have had.... enough.... of..... YOU!!!
YOU GO TO HELL!!!
YOU GO TO HELL AND YOU DIE!!!!
She then lifted YLC above her head, as his burning body showered her with sparks, and tossed the Demon down into the Abyss.....

Stay and fight it out, and claim the ONE MILLION DOLLAR prize, or

Cmon laddies. Get out of there
Woot! Great job, Secura! I should so have made that thorough accusation several days ago, I fear I'm losing my touch (or is it my spare time? Hard to tell...).
@ATPG: If someone (say, Methos :clown:), were to fail to send orders for this night, would that default to staying and fighting it out? It would be rather anti-climactic if we all sent solidaric orders to escape together, only to hand the game to an inactive... ~;)

Methos was active today. If I don't hear from him during this night phase, I will WOG him.
The game will not be decided by his inactivity. He was active in the game just a day phase or two ago, so it hasn't warranted a WOG yet.
She then lifted YLC above her head, as his burning body showered her with sparks, and tossed the Demon down into the Abyss...
"Vegeta, what does the scouter say about her power level?"
The amount of times I survived having six shades beaten out of me is immense, and I liked your parody of Darth Sidious, especially considering our MSN conversation a few days ago with Flaxy. Nice job picking apart my argument, by the way... :laugh4:
Anyways, it seems the game has now descended into the classic 'prisoner's dilemma'; do you escape with your life and your friends, living to tell the tale of the house... or do you fight your way to the $1,000,000 and risk dying to acquire the cash? Which means more, friends or money? Co-operation or betrayal?
Now that the demon has finally been vanquished, I think it's time to leave, and will be acting accordingly; I've done my job, and if it ends up in a Marginal Defeat, so be it. Good luck to those who stay behind. :3
Meh, I only needed to kill so many of you to win. Considering the lack of activity through most of the game, I decided it'd be fair enough to reward those active with a standard town victory - this meant eliminating inactives, lurkers, and people who would go for the million. However, this was a midgame shift and affected my behavior and chances of getting caught. Odd though that I get killed because I couldn't post after you Secura for your post on Ath, but do to falling ill, could barely look at the computer screen. Not saying it'd be any different, but it'd be another thing I could have used in a counter argument. Also, you give me to much credit Secura.
As to everyone else - I am disappoint. I repeatedly hinted at my nature throughout the game and never once denied I was the demon. WE, I am ESPECIALLY disappoint, you missed the little girl hints, and missed my signature play from the second resident evil game.
I have won, so please do yourselves a favor and let everyone else win - oh, and yes, all but the last 2 of the kills were written by me, and then edited by ATPG. ATPG kind of restricted what I could do.
Sad to see it end though, I rarely am, if ever mafia.
Congrats Secura and the rest of town, but also congrats YLC. Being solo mafia with so many players is never easy.
A few questions; why did the killings only started on night 3? Why me?! (of course :clown:) and did you miss out on giving orders on night 9?
If these can't be replied before the game truly ends, I'm quite content on waiting a bit longer, but I hope I won't be forgotten.
Not saying it'd be any different, but it'd be another thing I could have used in a counter argument.
Even though I agree that it wouldn't have made any difference (I think I'd have had at least Niklas to vote alongside me and then it would have been up to Winston and Diana to vote accordingly, I'd like to think one of them would have voted you too), I would have loved to have seen your response, and it's unfortunate that you were unable to do so; part of the fun of playing town is accusing, the other part is seeing players respond to those accusations, fellow town or otherwise. :3
Also, you give me to much credit Secura.
I only afford credit upon those who merit it, and I feel that you did; high post count, helpful to the town's cause... to anyone not reading between the lines, you really did come across as the consummate townie, something that is pretty hard to pull off as mafia because there's always that inherent scummyness that comes with the roles.
I have won, so please do yourselves a favor and let everyone else win
I second this.
Congrats Secura and the rest of town
It's not over yet, Flaxy; we're either going to have five townies with a Standard Victory or one with Total Victory and the others with Marginal Defeat/Total Defeat (dependent on if they fled the house or stayed to find the money and were killed).
I know which I'm choosing, and it's pretty transparant because such a choice is so me, as Romanic said. It's really down to Diana, Niklas and Winston; I don't know any of them well-enough to second-guess what they're going to do. xD

Night Twelve
Secura, Niklas, and Methos ran to the bathroom and saw that the mirror had been re-formed. In fact, with the death of the Demon, the entire house had been reset back to normal, including the furniture and things.
They waited for the other two, but it was obvious they were not coming, so they dove through the mirror to the other side.
Back in the normal universe, they rushed to the front door, unlocked it, and ran from the house as fast as their legs could carry them.

Day Thirteen.
This day will continue until one of you is dead.
Rules:
Send me a private message indicating which room you wish to move to. Diana has already moved, so I am just waiting on Winston Hughes.
Once I get your move, you will end up in a different room. You do not have to move every round, but you MUST tell me that you are moving and where you're moving to, or tell me you are lying in wait.
If you both are lying in wait, you both will be informed. I will need both of you to move at that point.
The game will end when one of you kills the other one. You will automatically battle if you end up in the same room.
Who dies is dependent on total strength, which is based on the items you carry.
BEGIN.

My guess
YLC wins if no one stayed behind
What still bothers me is the significance of entire thing going backwards.
My guess.
But your guess makes YLC's own post look like "wah, you ruined my victory!" rather than "why screw over the other townies like that?". :P

Three possibilities at this point -
1) Both leave, standard town victory, marginal victory for me.
2) Both die, standard town victory, standard victory for me.
3) One dies or leaves, the other takes the cash - total victory for me, none for you.
I'm not surprised that Winston or Diana stayed, but I'm surprised that Niklas left.

I win by killing or letting you kill each other. With splits death, I earned myself a marginal victory. from there on, it just gets better for me the more you kill each other, and worse for you.

The third one doesn't make sense when compared to the second; I'll be keen to see exactly how it plays out if we're heading for that outcome. :3

The cash is a trap - being the last one alive gets you "repossesed". I win if I am the last one standing. Makes sense now?

While Niklas seems the greedy and opportunistic sort, he isn't dumb. He knew stay behind was a bad idea.

In all seriousness though, I totally love this idea; I knew a Pizza twist was coming somewhere, but never would've guessed it was related to the money itself.
No offense to our two intrepid survivors... but I hope you both die. I'd rather that instead of the alternative, which is undoing all our work in removing the demon. :P
EDIT: Or you both see the light and decide that your life means more than the cash... fleeing would be a good option too.
While Niklas seems the greedy and opportunistic sort, he isn't dumb. He knew stay behind was a bad idea.
And I believe he was displaying great sportsmanship too; considering the effort I went into over the last few phases (the atheotes and YLC posts didn't take five mins, after all), I don't think he wanted to screw me over either.
I could have interpreted it incorrectly though and he was savin' his own bacon. :P

Maybe. Other than "good god why aren't you lynching YLC yet" I haven't been paying much attention to the game for a while.

@Secura
Pretty speeches and pious sentiments - I am unmoved. We all came here for the money. Why else expose ourselves to such dangers in the first place? It's a pity you guys got so caught up in the demon hunt that you took your eyes off the prize, but I've got expensive tastes, and there's no way I'm walking out of here with a million smackers still sitting on the table.
@Diana
I'm glad to see someone had the nerve to join me for the last dance.
How does the Parlour suit you?
Honestly I have no idea, other than that Methos thing, which was so scummy it made my teeth ache. I didn't notice the references you mention; it was something about your tone, and what you chose to comment on.
(Edit: I hope the ending is as advertised. Go Winston! Strike a blow for all the greedy backstabbing wretches (and would-be greedy backstabbing wretches) of the world! Even if it does turn you into a demon.)

It pains me to have to respond in an out-of-character context, because this was sheer awesomeness, but I'm miles away from the house by now anyways, so...
To put it simply, what if YLC's telling the truth and you end up being his thrall, costing the town the game? At the end of the day, we're playing mafia; we nailed said mafia, the town has won. So then, why throw that away by killing off the town's victory over the demon... the outcome will be that one of you is going to end up spewing pea soup, spouting profanities and doing unholy things with a crucifix while your head turns a complete three-hundred-and-sixty degrees.
I'm rooting for YLC here.

Diana Abnoba ducked behind something and waited quietly. She strained to hear where Winston was moving to, but couldn't discern anything. She gripped her new weapons tightly and slowed her breathing.

Day Thirteen continues.
This day will continue until one of you is dead.
Should you choose to flee, you will be forever and ever labeled a chicken, and you cannot bear the thought of that, for that is a fate worse than death.
If the evil power is killed, you can choose to leave the manor and forfeit the million dollar prize. Or you can try to stay inside the manor and win the million dollar prize the old-fashioned way... by becoming a serial killer and killing your fellow guests. If you happen to be the last one standing, you win. If no one survives, then the evil power wins.
So YLC is claiming that the game rules are completely false? :inquisitive:
I say go Winston!
So YLC is claiming that the game rules are completely false? :inquisitive:

lulz.
YLC is only stating what he's been told.

This makes absolutely no sense.
Firstly, how do you know he is stating what he has been told and not leading the others around again?
And that he is dead is exactly the issue, he is dead yet claims to get a victory no matter what we do.
What makes more sense to me is that if anyone gets the gold, that person wins.
If everybody flees, he gets a minor victory since he died, yet still managed to keep the house and the gold clear.
Had he killed everybody and survived, he would have gotten a major victory.
So the only way for him to get a minor victory would be to convince everybody to leave and not take the gold.
I mean if you really see this as a standard mafia game(which is not what the rules say about the game at all!), then why did you suddenly start to believe everything a dead mafioso says?
why did you suddenly start to believe everything a dead mafioso says?
Belief, quite frankly.
The alternative is accepting defeat when I put alot of effort into the game, particularly towards the end; losing to mafia is one thing, losing to fellow town is another thing entirely.

Stay put Winston (in the Living Room) there we shall have our final dance, my dear. :belly: or if you prefer. :dancing:
Why not just let them fight or just take the money and go?
They're moving around the house in an attempt to find and kill each other, both trying to get the jump on the other; they can't attack one another until they're in the same room, and cannot take the money until there's only one remaining person.
but logically, they could just take the money and go to the exit. Then if the other messes about, they would just get trapped behind and die. Also, since it is a house, wouldn't they simply walk past eachother in the corridor or know where eachother are?
This is not a typical house, Beskar. It's the :devilish::devilish::devilish: MuRDeR MaNoR :devilish::devilish::devilish: , where the most devilish things happen. Logic has no place here.

Logically they are inside of a place where space and time and pain and death are eternal. They are in the very realm of hades, perched high above the fires of hell.
Your logic eats broken glass here.

Winston Hughes waited in the Living Room for Diana Abnoba, wielding the lawn trimmer. Diana approached from the south, with the lawnmower blade in one hand and a power drill in the other.
Winston Hughes: That million dollars is mine. You should have left with the others, my dear, because I'm armed to the teeth. Now, back down.
Diana Abnoba: I don't think so. I didn't come this far just to have you walk away a millionaire without a fight.
Winston Hughes: You're outmatched, Diana. You cannot hope to defeat me.
Diana Abnoba: Why don't you put your money where your mouth is, little boy.
Winston Hughes: If I can slay a demon, I can easily slay you. But if you insist on your own demise, I'm only too happy to oblige.
Winston Hughes started up the lawn trimmer and ran toward Diana, and used the couch as a springboard to leap high into the air. He brought the spinning blade crashing down on the spot where Diana was standing, just as she rolled out of the way. Winston swung the deadly machine at Diana's head, but she blocked it with the lawnmower blade, using the weapon like a shield. She took the power drill and stuck it into Winston's leg, causing him to scream in pain. Winston kicked Diana in the chest and knocked her down, and tried to slice up her pretty face with the whirling blade of the gas-powered trimmer. Diana used the lawnmower blade again as a shield, but the trimmer was getting dangerously close to her face and she didn't have much leverage. She threw the heavy power drill at Winston, hitting him in the jaw, and then kicked him in the arm and knocked the trimmer away from her body. Winston quickly recovered, but Diana was already to her feet, swinging the deadly lawnmower blade like a machete. Winston used the long handle of the trimmer as a staff, and blocked several lethal-looking blows. Diana then delivered a kick to the shin of Winston, and swung the blade as hard as she could. Winston dropped to the ground and only just barely got the trimmer between his head and Diana's blade. But then he swung the trimmer and hit Diana in the face, knocking her backward. Winston used the trimmer like a hammer, and began battering Diana with it, as she attempted to deflect the blows with her own blade. But the lawnmower blade was an improvised weapon, not meant to be held this way. It began to bend and weaken, and there was no firm place to grip it. Within moments, Winston knocked the lawnmower blade out of Diana's hands. She did a back flip and grabbed her power drill, and landed in the dining room. Winston rushed forward, and swung the trimmer as hard as he could, trying to slice Diana's neck open. While Diana did attempt to move out of the way, the trimmer blade cut her deeply in the shoulder, causing her to scream in pain, breaking the lawn trimmer in the process. Diana took the power drill and shoved it into Winston Hughes' stomach, and pulled the trigger, drilling a big hole in Winston's stomach. Winston yelled in surprise and pain, and dropped the lawn trimmer, falling backwards and clutching his bleeding stomach.
Diana took the lawn trimmer out of her shoulder wound, and stood up, with a vengeful look on her face. She grabbed the trimmer by the long end and swung the heavy gasoline engine part at Winston's face. Winston raised his arms in defense, but the weapon still impacted him in the face, knocking out several of his teeth and busting up his jaw. He rolled over in pain, and Diana swung again, beating Winston in the back, causing him to have a cracked rib and a bruised kidney. But the pain of her shoulder wound caused her to drop the heavy weapon. She kicked Winston in the side, and in the face, and knocked him to the ground. She took the power drill and straddled Winston's back, preparing to drive the power drill into his skull. Winston however reached for a weapon he had stashed underneath the reclining chair: A wooden table leg from the Parlor. Just as Diana switched on the drill, Winston wriggled his body sideways and smashed Diana in the head with the wooden leg, knocking her to the ground and causing her to drop the drill. She was dizzy and disoriented, and Winston stood up to press the advantage. He pounced on Diana, swinging the table leg and trying to smash her head in. Diana grabbed one of the dining room chairs and pulled it in front of her face at the last moment, breaking the force of Winston's attack. Winston knocked the chair out of the way, and then raised the table leg one more time to finish her off.
This time, however, Diana lifted her leg and drove her spiked heel into Winston's groin, knocking the wind out of him and causing him to drop the table leg and clutch himself in pain. Diana grabbed the table leg and moved against Winston. Winston, however, grabbed the two coat hangers that he had fashioned into twisted metal claws, and slashed Diana in the chest and stomach, slicing up her pretty body and causing her to yell in pain. She still brought the table leg down on Winston's head, bashing him in the skull. But since she was in so much pain, and because she lacked the upper body strength due to the shoulder wound, the blow wasn't fatal to Winston. She rolled off of him and clutched her stomach, weakened by the shock of being sliced open in this manner.
Winston shook off the blow as best he could, but he was still quite dizzy. He slashed at Diana's legs, until she kicked him in the jaw. Then she wriggled away and headed for the kitchen. By now, the metal wire hangers were all bent, and useless as weapons, so Winston dropped them and grabbed the table leg and stood up. Diana was nowhere to be seen. He looked behind him, to the living room, and checked the dining room.
Diana appeared from behind the kitchen counter with her two butcher knives. She hopped up onto the counter and dove towards Winston Hughes, just as he turned around and tried to raise his weapon, delivering a flying kick to Winston's chest and knocking him into the reclining chair in the living room, both of them tumbling down and landing in front of the television set. Winston raised the table leg and used it to defend himself, blocking Diana's attempt to stab him in the face. He then used it to push Diana off of him, and he tried to get to his feet.
Diana got up quickly and drove both butcher knives deep into Winston's chest, stabbing him in the lungs. He tried to scream in pain, but the sudden stabbing knocked the breath from his lungs. He bashed Diana in the face with the table leg, weakly, knocking her off of him. But then he dropped to his knees, dropped the wooden table leg, and pulled out the blades, coughing up blood and gasping for breath in vain. Somehow he managed to sputter out some words.
Winston Hughes: If I can't..... have the million.... dollars.... then no one.... can. I'll see to it.... you never leave this place.... alive......
Diana Abnoba: That's my line. But you're forgetting one thing.....
Winston Hughes: And that is....?
https://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb225/askthepizzaguy/EPYC/34002-trinity_matrix.jpg
Diana Abnoba: THIS IS MY HOUSE.
Diana grabbed the wooden table leg from the floor, and threw it at Winston's face. He dropped the butcher knives and covered up, and the wooden table leg bounced harmlessly off of his arms. When he dropped his guard, he saw Diana's heel heading for his chest. The force of the kick knocked him backwards, sending him flying headfirst into the television set, smashing the glass and breaking the machine. Sparks flew out of the TV, and the weight of his body caused the entertainment center to tip over, dropping several hundred pounds of weight down onto the busted TV set. The broken glass and the frame of the TV was forced down on Winston Hughes' neck, decapitating him instantly.
The sparks caused an electrical fire, and the living room began to burn. Diana ran as fast as she could, heading for the Master Bathroom. She found the Mirror and dove through it, ending up back in the normal world.

Diana Abnoba landed in the Master Bathroom of Askthepizzaguy Manor. The image of the mirror world began to burn.... until it was replaced with a normal looking image. Diana walked out to the Parlor, where she was met by a familiar-looking man in a cloak. He took off his hat.

MAFIA ROLE PM: YLC
YLC- Yeqon Lucifuge Caacrinolaas
https://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb225/askthepizzaguy/Chaos_Mage_by_Sergon.jpg
However, until you are revealed, you shall be referred to as "The Nameless"
There's a book on Demonology in the house which contains the name Lucifuge, but not Yeqon or Caacrinolaas.
You are the serial killer, and only true evil in this game. Everyone else is a basic normal person, all "townie".
MAFIA OPTIONS: (NIGHT ACTIONS, please choose one.)
POSSESSION- This allows you to murder anyone, anywhere... by possessing someone else in the house and forcing them to murder themselves or someone else in that room. This requires you to pit your strength against the SUNSHINE UNITS inside that room (light).
BOOST STRENGTH- You will gain 1 strength every night to possess someone and allow them to resist Sunshine units, regardless. But, instead of murdering, you can also choose to gain 2 strength while causing a scary event which doesn't harm, but gets progressively scarier. Your demonic powers increase with every night. The kills get more violent and supernatural.
SABOTAGE- the ability to blow out candles, turn off power, break lightbulbs, switch the manor's circuit breaker and turn off the electricity, or tear out batteries. This can be done by you even if you're not in that room. Just tell me which room to sabotage. The circuit breaker is in the garage.
MURDER- This is your standard ability to murder. You can pretend to be possessed when you do it. Your demonic form has taken the shape of YLC, an ordinary townsperson.
Not night actions: (Either not an action or doesn't happen at night)
CURSE- the house is cursed. Randomly, and unknown to the players, 2 of the rooms will incur a 50% penalty against all Sunshine Units.
This happens automatically, and without your knowledge or approval. You won't know which room is cursed.
Search room- You can do this when you move to a new room, which happens during the day.
Use item- Some items can be used. Batteries can be added to flashlights, matches and lighters can be used to light candles, and lightbulbs can be replaced. You can do this during the day.
Interact- You can flip switches, try to hide behind furniture, or wield objects as weapons. (as if weapons will save them....)
___________________________
Starting strength: 1 (Remember, townies don't have "strength" so don't ever mention you have this attribute)
Starting items and weapons: None. (No one starts with any, not even you)
Cursed objects: There are objects in the game which, when wielded by you, or by others, or when found in certain rooms, will add to your strength when possessing people. These are counters to the items which emit light, which have the "Sunshine unit" attribute. Cursed objects have a certain amount of strength, which is added to your own if it is in the room with your victim when you demonically possess someone. That means, YLC, even if you possess a cursed object, it's only useful to you against others in the room you're in. When other people are carrying such objects, that is bad for them. And even if they don't pick them up, it's still bad if they are nearby (in the same room).

Win conditions:
Your performance will be graded. Since you are the only evil and you have no partner, one decent lynch and you're gone, my friend.
So, the more people who end up dead, the better your score. The more you personally kill, the better your score. If you die and they go for the million dollar prize, but wind up all dead, you become the ultimate victor of the game. If you are the last man standing, you become the ultimate victor of the game. If someone wins the million dollars, you will likely end up in second place, but with a graded score to reflect your miserable defeat, marginal defeat, marginal victory, etc. The scale will have many different divisions in it.... you must get at least four successful murders. However, past that point, I simply count how many total dead at the end of the game.
Total defeat (0 successful murders)
Overwhelming defeat (1-2 successful murders)
Great defeat (3-4 murders)
Standard defeat (5-6 dead)
Minor defeat (7 dead)
Marginal defeat (8 dead)
Draw (9-10 dead)
Marginal victory (11 dead)
Minor victory (12 dead)
Standard victory (13 dead)
Alternate Standard victory: Even if you do not murder enough to gain a standard victory, if people go for the million dollar prize and those people all end up dead, you are guaranteed an automatic alternate standard victory, or better score if you've earned one.
Great victory (14 dead)
Overwhelming victory (15 dead)
Total victory (16 dead)
CRUSHING VICTORY: Last one standing. Survive the entire game.
I may amend this role PM if I need to, if I've forgotten to add something in. I admit I am rushing to start the game.
TOWN ROLE PM
This is the standard townie role PM. Everyone gets one, even the evil power, so don't bother forging stuff.
You are: _____________ (insert your name here)
You are invited to stay in my mansion. If you have the guts to stay inside my mansion long enough that you're the last person standing, you win the million dollar prize and are the guaranteed winner of the game. If you for some reason wish to leave, you lose the million dollar prize. And you're not allowed to leave until you solve the mystery of Murder Manor.
If you leave and someone else wins the million dollar prize, you lose the game.
If you leave and no one wins the million dollar prize, then you have survived the game and also win, but you're not necessarily guaranteed first place. But it beats losing the game (and your life).
This is a standard mafia game but with a twist. The game can be solved simply by lynching the guilty party or parties. However, you are allowed to do the following:
Vote to lynch
Vote: Andres
Unvote, Vote: Generalhankerchief
standard as ever.
Vote to change rooms:
Vote: Move
Unvote, Vote:
This is another option you can do instead of lynching. This replaces the No Lynch option, and it also overrides any lynch vote you may have placed, and vice-versa.
You are allowed to abstain.
Please remember to unvote.
Interact with your environment:
During the day, you are allowed to see everything that is in the room you're in, and if you see any objects of interest, you may interact with them. You can pick up some objects and carry them with you. Some objects you cannot move, but you can interact with, such as flipping a light switch on or off. You automatically search any room you are in. You do not automatically pick up objects or items and you do not automatically interact with things.
If you wish to carry the same object as someone else, then you must decide amongst yourselves who gets it, or play rock, paper, scissors and that will determine who gets it. Or you could hold a vote.
If you wish to give an item to someone, you may do so, provided they are in the same room as you are.
While you're given a general freedom of what you're allowed to do, only certain actions will have any effect. If you decide to take off your clothes and run around naked, that won't have any effect other than annoying the game host. Try to be serious, it will help.
There are no hidden items or objects or things of interest. Everything is visible.
Your actions do not need that much detail. Either you use something or you don't. Either you enter a room or you don't. No need for Resident Evil style orders. If you wish to hide under or behind furniture, close a door and lock it, that's fine. It may have an effect, it might not.
While the manor is meant to be real, much of it has no effect. For example if I mention a dresser filled with clothes, then it might just be a dresser filled with clothes. However, there are many objects inside the manor which have an effect if you use it or carry it.
You are meant to interact with the environment and the objects inside the manor, but you may refrain from doing so if you wish. You can just try to lynch people.
You are meant to learn more about what is happening if you wish to solve the mystery of murder manor. You should eventually be able to work out what you can do to improve your chances of success.
This is an experimental game, but I repeat that I am not playing, I am not a valid lynch, and I am doing nothing other than observing and doing the writeups. I cannot win or lose the game. Everything else is up to you. Also, limit your accusations to people who are actually confirmed players. I am not using outside players either.
Victory conditions:
Alive and Last one standing: Total victory and ONE MILLION DOLLARS
Solve the mystery, escape with your life, and no one wins the million dollar prize: Standard Victory
Solve the mystery, wind up dead, and no one wins the million dollar prize: Marginal Victory
Solve the mystery, escape with your life, but someone wins the million dollar prize: Marginal Defeat
Do not solve the mystery, and wind up dead: Total Defeat
Items:
You're allowed to carry as many items as you wish, provided they can be carried with you.
You begin the game with no items.
You can use them or interact with them by sending me a private message.
Interaction:
You can interact with stationary things in the manor by sending me a private message.
Some things must remain in certain rooms. I'll let you know what, if anything, can be removed.
Rooms:
1- Master Bedroom
2- Master Bathroom
3- Walk in Closet
4- Parlor
5- Kitchen
6- Garage
7- Attic
8- Dining Room
9- Living Room
10- Computer Room
11- Guest Room
12- Guest Bathroom
13- Tool Shed
MAX OCCUPANCY- No more than this number can move to this room.
1- Master Bedroom (6)
2- Master Bathroom (3)
3- Walk in Closet (3)
4- Parlor (5)
5- Kitchen (3)
6- Garage (6)
7- Attic (6)
8- Dining Room (4)
9- Living Room (6)
10- Computer Room (4)
11- Guest Room (5)
12- Guest Bathroom (3)
13- Tool Shed (3)
YOU ALL BEGIN THE GAME IN THE PARLOR, which can fit all of you if you never decide to move out of the parlor. Once you do that, it holds a maximum of 5 people. Don't ask why... it has to do with being able to sleep comfortably.
This should be complete. If I have forgotten to add something, I will inform you of any changes.
Congratulations Diana!
Don't really see how the gold was a trap, the one with the gold would always come out on top, the ones who fled secured themselves a third place, but still below the monster.

Here's the trap:
Notice how Diana's strength was at 9, and Winston Hughes' was at 8? If those numbers had been the same, both of them would have been killed.
Since the house is full of 1, 2, and 3 strength items, there was a reasonable chance that they could end up tied for strength, and none would have gotten out alive.
Also, if many people were fighting for the money, it's possible that combinations of 3 or 4 in the same room could have resulted in a mass slaughter. It is only because of sheer luck that it ended up having a clear winner.

Congratulations Diana! :2thumbsup:
Good job on second when you had the hardest role by far, YLC; being the sole mafia in a game of the size was never going to be easy, and you did a bloody good job of it... shame I accused you too soon!
Congrats also to Diana; at least the moral high ground won out. :3
I told you guys I was speaking the truth! I had already won, why lie :P?

Wow. I was sweating that one, I didn't think I had enough points to win :sweatdrop: (My 1st solo win, yeah!) And, one of my first, lasted til the end of the game, games.
Thanks to Pizza for hosting this wacky game. Great job as usual! :applause:
Great job YLC, you had me fooled for some time during this game. Difficult being the only mafia in a game, you played it well.
Thanks to all, great game!!!

PM between me and Pizzaguy...
You can't attack YLC this way. You can only try to lynch him with your vote and others.
When the evil power is destroyed, then you could attack whoever you wanted. Then I sent him something along the lines of..."Why do I have this crappy lawnmower blade then?":juggle2:
I knew YLC was guilty from his activeness in this game....upsetting that he consider me inactive and dense, when Pizzaguy was wondering if I could read his mind and was almost too active...:laugh4:
Yes, you're one of the few who seems to be paying any attention to this game.
Even if you lose, you're still the most valuable townie at the moment.
I was just in the "Wrong place, Wrong time" category, I wanted you to kill off as many people as possible to get the million(I admit I was a little wary of, because of golden rule but I wanted to go evil for some reason and that's why I want after CB, instead:evil:)...Why didn't you say anything Pizzaguy?~:mecry:
I was gone for a while.....no computer for that time....still need to read the rest:book:

Why didn't you say anything Pizzaguy?~:mecry:
I did say something... I offered encouragement!
You confused the heck out of everyone by doing your own thing and even acting a little scummy, but you were pretty correct about YLC, and you were gathering weapons pretty well enough for the post-game.

Yeah...I knew if I said anything against YLC it would be seen as if I was trying to kill a fellow player for no reason....I think I hit the nail right on the head for that round...:laugh4:
And Diana won with help from that blade...why couldn't it be used until YLC died???:hide:
