My prom night is tomorrow. Give me suggestions on stuff to do at the dance (dance moves etc...) and I will do it. Or give me advice, either way its a win-win for me.

Sit in a corner with the drunk people. Well that's what I did at least, for our prom-equivalent.

If you see a person under 40 dancing any other way in a normal event (prom, nightclub etc) they are weird.
Thats the social norm. Personally, I hate it.

Maybe we're just not quite as bad here, or the girls I know aren't as bad.

Go with someone fun. If you follow that one rule you will enjoy prom.

Unless of course you're one of those couples that waited to make it special in which case there is no advice I can give except to rub one out beforehand and wear compression shorts.

Nightclubs are pretty awful if your a female here. A women dancing by herself seems to be a cue for a drunk guy to go up and basically grind on her in a way which suggest minor sexual harassment. It's the main reason girls are always found in groups, protection in numbers. Unless their a major whore with no self respect, then they usually welcome such advances.
Then again I guess nightclubs in general are only really fun when your drunk. I mean most people wouldn't consider standing in a crammed room, with the stench of sweat lingering in the air fun unless they were drunk. Even worse, the dreaded nightclub toilet. Those places are a nightmare, at least round here. Full of drug users and excrement, yes, it is as bad as it sounds. One place which is pretty popular in the nearest major city to me actually has a shared male/female toilet. I will never forget that place, and not for the right reasons.

We had to do celeidh (sp?) dancing here.
Which I managed to skillfully avoid by sneaking round the back at lunchtime and then sitting playing Pro Evo on the balcony above the lunch hall while everyone was dancing below. Good times...

I remember at 17-18 a girl basically using me like a dancing pole. Wasn't sure how to react, after a moment of enthusiasm I decided it wasn't for me. Today, most girls I know enjoy me flinging them around the dance floor, then reelling them back in and wrapping my arms around them. If you want to be more, ahem, riske you can do it without being obvious.
Just having a girl rub her backside against my groin doesn't appeal at all (at least not in public).

Thanks for the ideas guys. I'm going with my girlfriend and I agree with Philip completely about grinding. I really don't like it and I think it is nothing but a way for teenagers to stick it to the school by rubbing each other through clothes in a mass orgy. Not for me.
But then again, I think the majority went with getting smashed and Strike has so much experience I can't not do what he says. No this isn't supposed to be a "special" night.
Keep the ideas coming, im not leaving for another 2.5 hours or so.

Be cool (relaxed), don't drink too much. A good rule of thumb is to drink at about half the speed of everyone else.
Yes, I know you kids aren't allowed to drink over there. I also know you probably will be.
So, trust me when I say that there are few things as unattractive as being blatted when out with your girlfriend.

No. Not really. What they usually are is a bunch of shared cubicles and shared wash basin space. But, as there are either no or limited urinal space it ends up being urine central, with it all over the place.

In Japan, the girls ask the guy out.
I wish I was in Japan. Far easier to turn some one down than to get turned down yourself then get tarred as 'desperate' if you dare ask some one else.

Hmm. I've had maybe one or two chicks overtly ask me, and then a few that were really overt compliments. Usually they ask with their body-language, you can tell what their response is going to be before you even ask. Personally I kind of like it when they ask, very refreshing.

It's not just a heterosexual thing either; women can be prone to doing it to other girls (usually unattractive ones hassling the 'lipsticks'), and I assume the same applies to male-male situations also.
A unisex toilet in a British club on a Friday night is most certainly not awesome
I've never seen a unisex toilet in Mancunian nightclubs, but they don't really sound pleasant; boys shouldn't be privy to our toilet conversations! ¬_¬

I'm back. Didn't get drunk but I grinded on my gf. I figured I would try it out. It's a fun dance for obvious reasons, but not when you have music loud enough to make you deaf and literally no space to move because there are 200 people all around you crammed on a small dance floor. Also, jackasses kept almost ruining the dance by attempting to have sex on the dance floor. I had much more fun being off to the side of the mob where the smarter (AKA not likely to start having sex on a dance floor) AP students were dancing and I made an ass of myself by just doing a bunch of funny dance moves with my friends and gf.

There's slow dancing which I love when I'm with my girlfriend. There's regular lets have some fun dances where we all do stupid stuff for laughs which I love doing with anyone. Then there is grinding which is never singular but always in mass orgies, which I don't like doing with anyone.
It's weird, I'm the biggest social liberal in my school to my knowledge and I honestly think that others should be able to do all that kind of stuff and more if they are responsible and safe. But I see that stuff for myself, I'm honestly disgusted at the sight of 200+ kids who are all going to be voters in less then 6 months acting barely above animals like that. It's just...terrible for me and it makes me want to stay in my room and play video games because if that is the "social life" everyone tells me I need, then I honestly choose isolation.
If you want to have sex, have sex. If you want to dance, dance. Please don't mix the two as much as possible, although I will fully defend your right and ability to do so.
I find myself fully agreeing with ACIN, again.
