These pics of bizarre people at a Georgia Walmart were emailed to me by my eldest daughter. I thought all y'all would like a chuckle.:laugh4: Give the pics a double click for a better view, if you can stand it.

Either this guy is shoplifting blue jeans or he ran out of clean underwear.

Some people's tastes are all in their mouth.

Ah, the people of walmart. :laugh4:

They have a whole website (http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/?page_id=9800) dedicated to this stuff.

I love how they used to always go "Where's the Milk?" while standing next to a massive sign saying "Milk" and the rows upon rows of Milk.

I'm alway torn between "good for you not caring what other people think" and "oh man, have a little pride in your appearance" when I see these Walmart pictures. :disappointed:

The admirable part of "not caring what other people think" is when the other people are wrong to be judgemental about it, and when the person knows that and dresses anyway. This doesn't seem to be like that :sweatdrop:

You know what? The general populace are the people who shop at Walmart. There are weirdos in the general populace, and it is those people who they deliberately take pictures of. I could go to a Kohl's store or a University and find a lot worse pictures than those. Sorry, but I really really hate how people think they have to bash Walmart and that they are above shopping there. It doesn't make you sophisticated if you don't shop at Walmart because you think it is beneath you, it just means that you are a snob.
Sorry, but there is just soooo much snobbishness, self-righteousness, and arrogance coming from people about Walmart. People gotta get lives.

I go to ASDA (as Walmart is known here), and I still love the people of walmart. :laugh4:

Although I admit I've never seen anything like the white trash pics up there.

I guess I am snob and arrogant person then because I don't shop in Walmart.. Could it be that Walmart don't have shops in Estonia? :inquisitive:

'because you think it is beneath you', not because they are not in Estonia. I am not talking about people who do not shop at Walmart, but people who do not shop at Walmart because they think it is a store for Plebs, and not intellectuals like them. People here in America are so stupid that they will not shop at Walmart because the prices are low and they are not so poor that they need to shop at Walmart, so they will buy the same item for more money elsewhere as a statement. Then you have the protectionist idiots, and the ethical source idiots, etc, etc.

I shop at Walmart too. I've seen some pretty shabby dressers, but nothing as bad as seen in any of these pictures. Vuk has a point about weidos. However, is the "People of Walmart" really meant to be a slam against Walmart though? You find weird people in cities due to the high concentration of people. I guess Walmart has the same city-like effect for country folk.

i remember back when i was in camp 4 years ago there was a wal-mart about 6 miles down the road. it was like heaven for us. water balloons, food, everything you wanted/needed was there.

Hehehe, shopping at Walmart around my area is a necessity seeing that they put many other stores out of business. They sell name brand food items for less, and some items that I never found anywhere else that I like. We don't buy their meats or clothes, but most other things are a definite possibility.

Rich people don't get rich by overspending, no doubt about that.

Weird people are where you find them, and the characters depicted are seemingly oblivious no matter where they go. Fer christsake Vuk, settledown.

lol, you want the biggest mess of weirdos in the world? Go to a college campus. You are gonna see a lot more freaks there than you will at Walmart. Literally, in some of my classes nearly a quarter the guys go to class in their boxers! How is that for hick? The only difference is that these hicks drive fancy cars that their parents bought them and think that they are intellectually superior to everyone around them because the send text messages during the 1/4 or less of classes they attend (that their parents and the government are paying for!) and smoke pot all day in their dorm rooms.
My University is second in the country for alcohol consumption and partying. The average person you see on campus is much more a freak and looks much more like a hick than the average person you will see at Walmart.

lol, sorry. I just read this (http://finance.yahoo.com/family-home/article/109458/what-to-buy-and-not-buy-at-walmart?mod=family-love_money) on Yahoo this morning and listened to a bunch of snobbish college idiots Friday talking about how they don't shop at Walmart because the prices are so low! Come again?! Isn't that a reason to shop there? :P lol I got gripes with Walmart, and am not a big fan of it, but all these morons spewing out mindless hate for no reason at all annoy the crap out of me. :P

Yeah, I mean, low prices really suck. I thought college kids were supposed to be eating Ramen noodles and such. There are some things not to like about Walmart, but that is true of many companies too. Walmart is BIG and therefore becomes a big target.

Wal-Mart is absolute ****.

I think its funny they actually convinced people in order to have low prices you need to open big dimmly lighted box stores and skimp on quality and customer service.

Anyone who wants a real store.

We kill Wal-Mart in South and Cen Texas it aint even close. All the while our prices are as low or lower than the Wals.

Anyone who wants a real store...
...and happens to live in Texas...

As for Walmart, they have very good prices on somethings and not so much on others. As for quality, like price, somethings you buy at Walmart, somethings you don't. I tried their meats. Bought some steak that was so salty it tasted like ham. Bought some ground beef once. Fresh ground beef is good in the fridge for 2-4 days before it starts turning brown/gray. That Walmart's ground beef I bought I couldn't get around to cooking right away but it stayed bright, healthy looking red for 7-8 days - preservatives anyone? I don't buy meat at Walmart anymore. However, that I can save 15%-25% off name brand food items over a supermarket is hard to ignore.

I had seen and read the article Vuk linked above about what not to buy at Walmart. I had to laugh when they said not to buy wood products. I didn't know Walmart sold (real) "wood" products. :laugh4:

Lemur

Two things I can't live without that Walmart excels at: Bulk juice (for the lemurlings) and produce. Our local Walmart does these two things really, really well. If I need fresh fruit I can count on them far more readily than I can thw two other supermarkets within easy reach.

But they don't do everything well, certainly, and I don't like to devote too much of my weekly budget to them. Gotta keep shopping with the locals, too, not just the trans-national conglomerates.

People of Walmart is a mean-spirited web site, but it's not evil; it's just uncharitable. I have a personal problem with making fun of people based on their appearance. It's a form of comedy I try to avoid.

Also, if being completely honest, Walmart has paid me some good money over the years, so I can't down them without being a massive hypocrite.

I never said that Strike. I said that all kinds of people shop there, blue collar or not, and that you cannot judge everyone who goes there because of a few 'freaks'.
I said that I disliked people who bashed it just for the sake of being snobs, but that is not the same thing at all as saying that Wal-mart is 'for the blue collar guy'.
You either did not read my posts fully, did not pay very good attention, or used very poor logic. I think that if you give what I wrote a re-read and think about it again that you will see I was not saying that at all.

I shop at Wallys from time to time. I prefer my clothing from Salvation Army though. The clothing at Wallys isn't too bad, I just prefer the 'character' of stuff at good ol' Sals. Though making fun of people who shop there isn't really very nice in my opinion. Alot of people are on tight budgets and need to save a dime here and there. They shouldn't be frowned upon just because they shop at some hypothetical hick store. I remember when I was in High School everyone made fun of Kmart and all who shopped there, 15 years later my little cousins (who were in High School at the time) thought Kmart was the coolest place going. THough I don't know the resons why. Strange people are made fun of no matter where they go (this example just happens to be at Wallys) and I don't think they necessarily deserve it (well, perhaps the shop lifter). Has anyone who takes these pictures looked in the mirror recently?

My son worked at WalMart until February. Corporate dictated a 10% reduction in force in So Cal, so anybody with less than 24 months there got let go. No severence, no bennies, just "You been RIF'd; good luck." We don't shop there anymore. Price Club and Target (right down the street) get our big-box trade now. Mom&Pop shops are dying out around here, but I think they'll make a comeback in a few years when the big boys, who expanded too quickly, scale back or leave.
