Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew of any free video editing software that let you place custom graphics over your video as a post-processing effect.
The only ones I have been able to find cost $$$. :P

Here's Wikpedia's list of open-source (hence free) video editing software packages (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_editing_software#Open_source_software). Not a bad place to start ...

Thanks, but I already tried them as well as several others that were not on the list. They let you put text over the video as an overlay, but not custom graphics. I have not found any that let you put custom graphics over the video.

I really hate to double-bump, but I was wondering if anyone could help me with this. I have looked everywhere and been unable to find anything like this. It is really important that I find some kind of soft-ware that enables you to overlay a picture onto a video. If there is no free software that does that, is there at least any cheap stuff?

Unless I'm completely mixed up (which happens from time to time) you're looking for freeware or shareware compositing tools (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compositing). Would this do the trick (http://www.debugmode.com/wax/)?
