Hi, I have got 3Dmax up again on the 30 day thing, i have had it before and started to mod a figure, A Highlander from the 45 (Probably slinking back to the croft to drown his sorrows in a vat of whiskey after Ross County's defeat this afternoon) to my surprise the CAS side of thing came out fine first go. However I'm having problems unwraping the thing for skining, I can only get bits of it up. I've tried welding the figure together but can't figure how. Any advice from you folks.
Also I'm on the 30 day thing, can I scrub the program from the harddrive for a period say seven days and then re-install without the seven days taken from the limit. I vaigley remeber this being posted somehere before and am not sure if it is true.
Thirdly I loaded Max mainly for getting strat figures to work, what are the rules for this? Do simply export a figure under whatever title to the models_strat or the models_units folder?

Cheers

why not just bought it legit, for some dollars? or better, use university student edition... (that was distributed by the univ for modelling purposes, it was cheap but legal)

Hi, those on the pitance HMG considers adquite for the disabled can seldom shell out the required 2000 plus pounds or even dollars and I ain't at university. Got the unwrapping thing to work fine though.

lucky me then  -> it's always good to use that "student" status

yeah, in my case, it was for free-perfectly legal though. I still have the registration key and account name-in case of future accidents with my hard drive.

I still get that annoying "its for educational purposes only" label in front; I'd like to make some money off of it after all :clown: (no, I don't really intend that. I intend to release any game I make for free; I'll make enough money being a geologist or paleontologist).

Lucky gits I'm just finished my 30 days trial thing, got a fair bit done though about 30 figures and lots saved to the strat folder for future possible use everything from Zulu's to Napolionic Austrians with the early helmet to a strat man-o-war and fantasy Eastern Tiger warriors with big No-Dachi swords.
