View Full Version : Just a quick queery
How do I add balloons to my posts? ARCHIPPOS gave me one a few months ago and I want to add it to my signature. Sorry if this seems like a stupid question.
It's not a stupid question at all.
If you go to "Reply to Thread" -> "Go Advanced," you'll see a smileys menu at the right. The first smiley should be a green balloon. Right-click on that balloon and click "Copy Link Location." That will give the balloon's image URL.
Go to "Settings" (very top-right of the page) -> "Edit Signature." You'll see an icon in the box for signature code that looks like a picture frame. Click on it. It will ask for the URL of your desired image. Simply right-click and paste (you had previously copied the URL) and click OK.
You can click "Preview Signature" if you wish to see if all went smoothly.

You can go to settings and then edit signature. Then type :balloonX: and save it. You also have different colours.
If we replace the X with nothing we get: :balloon:
If we replace the X with 2 we get: :balloon2:
If we replace the X with 3 we get: :balloon3:
Hope that helps,

A noob question: what's the meaning of the balloons?

And just like any item you give it away for pretty much any reason or keep it. Some even like to collect them and boost with their collection.

Of course he know what balloon is.
Well, given ballon as token is the way of forum members to show their appreciation, acknowledgment and congratulatory message to others.

Sometimes the balloon collectors even lick the screens, because they think it's wine gum.

Like I said (below the lame but rather obvious joke than some nontheless seem to miss) the balloons are given for pretty much any reason one thinks worthy and some collect them.
