Hi

I posted this over in the Entrance Hall but wasn't able to get any help. Excuse the cross posting.

I'm just working on some new Bif's and I came across some references to Fight(1) and Fight2. I've done some searches but I can't seem to find a list of what the allowable actions are. Are Fight and Fight2 available and when are they used? Are they only available for cavalry or can infantry use them? The reason I'm asking is that I'm currently working on later period pikemen and it'd be good to have different Fight sequences against infantry and cavalry - probably just wishful thinking on my part http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Grumpy,

fight1 and fight2 are used to denote how different weapons are used.
The bifs contain the images, the actionpages contain the actions, and the weapons folders and shield folders are the positioning of the weapons in relation to the unit that the images draw along a x,y axis.

All this is in the animation guide above.

Hi Fenir

Thanks for the reply. I went through the edited Unit Modding guide again but I still couldn't find anything that describes where the MTW engine actually uses the Fight2 action. Is it used in any particular type of confrontation, and is it editable anywhere?

Cheers
