I decided to do something wacky the other day. FN_REBEL isn't used, but it shows up in a bunch of places, like as the owners of rebel lands in the startpos (but those lines are nulled by // at the beginning).
I went and put in "SetActiveFactions" put in "FN_REBEL MAJOR", and then proceeded to put in all the stuff they needed like a king and heirs and culture. And it seems like I can get a whole bonus faction this way when I start the game. They show up in the select faction screen (they're color is clear) and there they have a king and everything. But when I start, they don't. It acts like I used the cheat code ".conan.", which starts strangely with the Denmark province always highlighted. I'm unable to secure alliances without a king. In "names.txt" there's "Rebel Faction Leader" and lots to suggest they could a single function faction.
Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this. The primary logic here: William Wallace is a rebel hero. He comes as a hero only to the rebels.
