View Full Version : Help for sound and crashing bug.

:help: I have two bugs that occur in relation to battles in EB.

The first is that if I choose to play through a battle, the game will often crash right after it does that zoom-in thing to the tile of the battle, or during the beginning of the loading screen. The game doesn't crash at any other time. Any ideas what's wrong or how to fix it?

The second bug is that while playing through battles, sometimes when I am issuing orders the sound will suddenly cut out. Then I'll check the audio options and "Mute SFX" will be checked, even though I never checked it. I can then uncheck it and the sound works fine again, so it's not that debilitating of a problem, but this tends to happen multiple times per battle so it's really annoying. Is there some hotkey to change that setting that I'm accidentally hitting or something? And if there is, is there a hotkey to turn the sound back on again?

Well for the first question i guess you didn't install the official fixes? Check them out in Bovi or XSamatan's signatures

About the second one i have no idea... It shouldn't be a key imho, but i can't be sure

Sure you got 1.2 installed into the right place (the same folder you put 1.2 in)? Crashes before entering a battle should be covered by the fixes.
Check the settings menu for keys related to sound effects and try to change them.

That was it the problem, they were installed in the wrong part of the mod folder. Thanks! And I also figured out how to change the audio hotkeys. Sorry for manking an extraneous thread.

I just have one other question though, why aren't the 1.2 fixes links on the EB downloads website?
