Where do inquisitors come from?

If you've altered the descr_strat file to make papal states playable, sometime into your game there will be inquisitors in Germany and France. Where do they come from? I haven't spawned them and they come out of nowhere!:dizzy2:

That's the point. They spawn. From what I've seen, they spawn where there are factions with low papal favour.

In fact, inquisitors will appear in provinces that have a low Catholic rating (under 75%, I believe...)., hence the need to build churches and have prioests roam your lands... The problem being that these Inquisitors will appear innsuch a region but might very well decinde to cross the border into new territory and sometimes yours...

Inquisitiors make easy assassin targets however. I don't think it affects papal standing if your assassin dies in the attempt either.

They just spawn depending on the level of Catholicism in a region. If you play as the Papal States you can control them but you can't still control their spawn rate. With them, you can kill almost anyone if the inquisitors' piety are high...I use these cheats to boost their piety to the maximum

Inquisitors do not have right to travel to Muslim Lands because they do stuff inhumanely.
