View Full Version : I'm an uncle x2 (soon x3)
So my sister is about to pop out a second young'un (ultrasounds point to another girl). And since I don't have a steady job. I get to look after her oldest while she's in the hospital. And the though of soloing the little munchin is giving me nightmares. Not rational I know, but I'm like that.
Here's some pics of me and the first niece.

The uncle x3 part is because my brother will have himself a baby by October.

Now's your chance to spoil her rotten and then give her back. "But Uncle Lars let me stay up till midnight and we had chocolate cake for breakfast and..."
People showing pride at being an uncle makes me smile. I am happy to see that some experience such joy and pride on their siblings' behalf.
I have been an uncle since I was a toddler and I am currently an uncle x 21. Can't keep track of them all and surely not able to spend 'uncle time' with all of them.
I did however corrupt one of them, by playing Battlefield with him when he was 10. He is now an active member of a paintball club and plans to become a professional soldier. He has trained combat and body since he was 10 (he is currently 15)
He wanted to become like uncle Sigurd, but have now ideas of surpassing Sigurd.

Sounds like a success story to me!

That won't happen. Her gramma (mi madre) will be home by 4. And if she did suddenly start using those sentences at 22 months her parents would think their little girl turned into Stewie Griffin. Her father was sure that her uncles would teach her the f-bomb. But her gramma did it first. :laugh4:
And my sister and husband just went to the hospital. She'll be amitted around 2 PM local time.
Update: Leia Rose was born June 3rd at 7:00 PM. Parents and baby are now at our parents house (I live on the same property in a separate apartment) for a while. The little tyke in the pics will meet her tomorrow after she gets back from a camping trip with her other grand-parents.

Post a pic or two if you can.
Adorable child in the previously posted pictures. I too would like to see pictures of her sister!
Here's some pics of Leia (as in the Princess from Star Wars)

Beautiful photographs. Why is she wearing those gloves? I know nothing about children.
So she doesn't scratch her face any more than it with her nails. You can't cut them till she's a week old.

Oh, I understand. Again, adorable baby!
