Custom Battle Troop Selection

When trying to create custom battles, when I get to army selection, the armies don't give me the option of choosing units that I know should be available to them. How can I get access to them? Thanks.

Make sure you play custom battles, historical battles, and online battles by running EB Multiplayer. The Single Player is designed only for campaign.
