View Full Version : EB Script Error? All homeland provinces are now tier III/IV, earlier saves don't help

Hi,
So I was playing as Rome. I decided to use the genericScript's
"script
console_command control _______
end_script"

to take control of Greeks, Carthage, etc and build them up with lots of units so they are tougher when I finally fight them. I've done this before and it worked fine.

However, after I did it this time, when I regained control of either the Roman or Carthaginian factions, all my homeland provinces became "alliance" provinces. I even tried to reload to an earlier saved game before I messed around, but the same thing occurs - all my homeland I & tier II provinces are now tier III/IV.

I didn't change the EBBS_script at all, only the generic script, so I'm not sure what is going on... =(

It seems that you played with faction X. Activated the EBBS script. Then activated the generic script to play with faction Y. Right?

Yeah, then Faction Y will have the governments pof faction X I guess...

Is there any way to fix this? It's weird that even earlier saves before I messed around were affected by this...

Also when you quit RTW and restart the program?

The script should only "remember" as long as the game is running.

Yep. I restart RTW/EB and everything. The only thing I haven't tried is a system restart or clearing my app data. (could EB script info be saved on the HDD like app data or something?)

the "homeland building" - the type marker was spawned by campaign script for the original faction you choose to play the campaign at first, if you switch factions mid campaign, they will still the same as previous

So what you're saying is, if I want to play as Roman again, I need to restart a new campaign as Romanii, and then load my Roman saved games? I'll try that.

EDIT: Actually, what I meant was - can I force another script (say Roman) on the Greek faction? Or vice versa?

Is this problem still unresolved?

I am moving this to the bug forum.
