Hi, I'm new at modding and I've recently used a lot of info from this site that helped me a lot, but now I've encountered the following problem and I desperately need some help solving it.
I used the string converter posted by alpaca I think somewhere on this forum to convert the imperial_campaign_regions_and_settlement_names.txt.string.bin to a txt file. When I add a new region in the txt file (and all the other files where its needed) and start up (using the io file_first thing), i get the error that it can't create the settlement because of a missing string. I found out the .bin file didn't change and add the new region in it. After trying to delete the .bin to force it to create a new one, I found out it wouldn't create a new .bin file.
I read somewhere that using the modfolder might help, but as my game doesn't want to start using the .exe file (I always start up using the launch from the cd, and no reinstalling doesnt help xD) That's not an option. So I was wondering if someone knows why it won't create a new .bin file and how to solve it.
I hope my English is good enough to explain it clearly ^_^
Thanks in advance!
