Win 7 64 user, game loads vanilla over EB

Title says it all.

I installed vanilla in C dir, not program files and updated to patch 1.5. I installed in the same folder as vanilla both 1.1 and 1.2 EB. I then run the EB application and vanilla loads instead, EB is totally ignored.

I had this game on my old system and so desperately want to try it out with my new beast, any help would be appreciated.

You should create a new shortcut to your RTW.exe and edit the target line. Here you have to add: -mod:EB -ne -nm

That should do the trick.

Exactly what XSamatan said. I'm not sure if mod switch is case sensitive, but if it is, eb or EB should do the trick.
