It's 171 BC
I have a popularis/consul/fully maxed out Family member thanks to a heavy war against sweboz
Italy cities are all maxed out building-wise.
I have 54 settlements.
yet the reform does not occurs.
kinda annoying as i was highly awaiting this moment.
if you have any clue, thanks!

Are the battle minimums (>520) acquired? Has he the Reformator trait?

Aren't you talking about augustan reforms?
https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?84854-Europa-Barbarorum-FAQ
I'm following the FAQ wt for the marian reforms as follows:
-At least the year 172BC
-Have more than 6 Latifundia built in Italy
-Hold at least 45 settlements
-Fight more than 250 battles
-Have a character that is:
Sharp/Charismatic/Vigorous
Popularis
Consul or Ex-Consul
Has Influence > 2
Has Command > 2
OR
-Conquer 90 settlements.
I have more than 400 victories and as i said i took great care in nurturing a particular family member to get the reforms...

Sorry, that was a typo ;)
Sometimes the triggers don't fire, but you can get around it:
1. Make a backup of your saves and of \EB\Data\scripts\show_me\EBBS_SCRIPT.TXT
2. Inside this document (open it not with Microsoft Notepad, better is Notepadd ++ , google it) you search for "MARIAN TRIGGER"
You delete everything past this until "IMPERIAL TRIGGER"
Afterwards you insert:
;Unconditional Player Reforms
monitor_event FactionTurnEnd FactionType seleucid
and FactionIsLocal
and I_CompareCounter Romanii_Reform = 1
and I_TurnNumber > 399
set_counter Romanii_Reform 2
set_counter MarianReformsAdvisor 1
terminate_monitor
end_monitor
That should do the trick.

Hum now that i think about it, the faq says "a character". But shouldnt It be "the faction leader"? That would explain why i dont get the reformator trait.
X:
There is no number of battle requirement for the Marian reform. It should be removed from the FAQ.

Hey, you're right! Never noticed the semicolon....
I noticed in my game that it takes a few turns for the "reformator" trait to kick in and give you the new troops. I'd say just be patient.

It happened to me that i've got the reformator trait with 3 characters, but no reforms happened. I had to activate them manually...
P.S. did you activate the script?

i have the same problem... i always activate the script too... however those reforms need to happen soon because the only character currently capable of getting the reformer trait is 61.... his grandfather DID get the trait, way before any of the requirements occurred

So has he the trait yet? If you want to enable it asap, follow the steps mentioned earlier in this thread and replace the turn number with your wished date.
