View Full Version : Add another year to my age

Why didn't anyone warn me I'm getting older? I mean, I just turned 19. One hour ago I was 18.

Pah. So, by now I'm supposed to be a responsible young adult, waddling through the economic mess with optimism, drinking beers with my mates and having fun with women.

Except it's nothing of that. I mean, I am optimistic (~D) but everyone's been thinking more about the day of tomorrow instead of having fun. On another note, I just want to thank the Org for having me around, this is my 5th year and I still pop in here and there for the occasional comment. Shogun 2 should be good but it will probably be the last one too, I am too old for gaming now.

I've achieved so many things last year so of that I am proud to be honest. Onto great things I say, I have tons of projects for the upcoming year until I turn the wonderful age of double-double digits. I've done tons, but I want to do even more. Onto the hurdle I say!

And from my part, you are free to slack off from work today. Have a wine, have a beer, have anything you want. The drink is on me.

:barrel:

Thank you, The Org.

Sigurd started the trend when he posted on my wall on my birthday, saying "Happy 13th!", which I just continued on from.

Though in England at least, Young Adult = Teenager. So ages 13 to 17.

Never mind the young adult thing, being a year older won't magically transfrom your life.

I don't expect my life to change much until I turn 21, because that's when I finish Uni and will have to get a real job.

Happy birthday in any case! :balloon3:

I am too old for gaming now.

You can never be too old for gaming; my father is forty-three and plays Call of Duty: World at War and Fifa 10 every night without fail... :P

Young Adult = Teenager. So ages 13 to 17.

It is? I was always under the impression that 'Young Adult' applied to people who were new to adulthood, principally 18-21 year olds but right up to 24 year olds.

That's how the JobCentre describes 18-24s, including myself, as well as the personnel people from the plethora of jobs I was applying for. :3

Every year that arrives will be shorter than the one that has passed...with age comes wisdom...

You live in the UK right? Wonder when the next flight is...

Edyz, I know how it is. I'm just over 5 months older and I feel like I should be more like an adult...

... I am too old for gaming now.

Aw hell, man. I haven't been gaming for the past year or so (?), but I still come back here because of the company and the memories. You've been a member for 5 years. You understand, you of all people should understand.

Happy Birthday good sir!

Yes I'm getting a little weary of video games like yourself as well (especially with not many interesting games) but whenever something good comes out you forget all about that weariness and remember why you enjoy playing video games.

Seriously? You poor, depraved child- no wonder you have issues with moving out.

On topic, I know how you feel. Im the oldest in my grade, a year older than the others (the grade cutoff in NY is different than it is in Atlanta) so oftentimes I feel really old, and the fact how a few of my friends joke that Im really 37 doesnt help either.
A way to stay young is gaming! Dont feel that because of age you need to give up gaming! Whenever I feel old I just start up a game of EB and BAM! I feel like Im 15 all over again.
But a happy 19th to you anyways!

Yeah the woman working in the grocery store tonight didn't take kindly to me walking out with a six pack and saying "put it on Edyz tab".

Too old for gaming? That's like saying you are too old for entertainment period.

Pah. So, by now I'm supposed to be a responsible young adult,

Not at all.

I am too old for gaming now.

No way.

I think you'll find a lot of people who are more then 10 years older than you and who are still gaming.

But enough talk already. Here with that barrel.

Dunno about ten years older. I'm thirty years older and still love to play games. It keeps one young.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes!

Well, you are too old for gaming when you're supposed to be getting a job and hunting down women. I mean, they don't take it lightly when they find that a potential husband loves to play Call of Duty like a maniac... ~;)

Happy birthday to us!

Mine should be a little more meaningful as now I can by alcohol myself rather than getting friends to do it... 18 at last :beam:

Have a good one, Edyz. Don't forget that you need to mingle entertainment with responsibility. Too much stress isn't good for the spirit, so make sure to remember to relax every once in a while between your hunts.

Happy Birthday edyz and EF! As for acting like an adult edyz, be responsible when it is appropriate to be so, otherwise... Just make sure you allow yourself some "otherwise" time and you'll be fine - Old Man. ~:pat:

Summer's on, but it's time to work from my part. I plan on achieving even bigger things compared to last year.
