Unbelievable - I got a gift

This has never occured to me until today: I got a gift from an AI faction! :dizzy2:
It's my Pontos campaign. Carthage is quite powerful and started a war with me by blockading a port of mine. But there was never another battle, so about 5 years later we made peace and granted trade rights. Then it happened. 4 or 5 turns later, a carthaginian diplomat came to one of my cities and offered me a gift of 5000 mnai! To deepen our friendship... unbelievable!

As you may see on this map: They are not desperate. They're in peace with my two most stubborn enemies, the still mighty AS and the Makedonians, who defend tooth and nail.

What I am amazed is that there's no super-uber power, but many equal powers! this is a very interesting partition of empire indeed... and Pahvala (or whatever name they got) Lol! how the hell they got to the corner of the continent! i imagine a wondering full stack of HA that hacked it's way threw stacks of AS pikes and Bactrian elephants to see the sea... and decided to settle there!

I had a good relationship with Rome as KH one time and they gave me a steady supply of money. Never have been able to recreate it.

in my campaign there are only 2 factions left.. baktria and saka i gave saka 2million and i gave baktria 1million... im just on the sides watching them beating the crap out of each other :laugh4:

@ Duguntz: I have no katanks. My armies are based on local levies, especially galatians, with a core of factional units.
Yeah, the AI-Faction Progression is quite interesing. To my taste, only the lusotannan are too strong. They go bersek in almost every campaign and give the romans and gauls no chance.
