Anyone know where to download the stw/mi battle recorder?

Hello Swoosh,

The battlerecorder was part of the game itself. One had to create a shortcut with a custom commandline. One to make records and the other to replay.

Make two icons, one for record, one for playback.

Command line on your launch icon looks like this for RECORD:

"...\Shogun - Total War - Warlord Edition\ShogunW.exe" ER

and like this for PLAYBACK:

"...\Shogun - Total War - Warlord Edition\ShogunW.exe" mEP

Include the full path; I've abbreviated them here.

To record, start STW with the RECORD icon. To playback, start STW from the PLAYBACK icon.

It will record one battle, to replay.dat in the Dumplog folder. If you play another, it will overwrite the previous, unless you move or rename the replay.dat file in order to save it. It will always replay from or record over the file named replay.dat.
