alman, when Angelfire gets straightened out, I can post the information in the Dungeon for you. However, could you please provide a little more information as to what exactly is wrong? Thanks.

If you manage to get it to work, would you mind trying to get to play with one of these factions?

Papal States
Aragonese
Switzerland

That would be like a dream come true... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/shock.gif

how do i change the flags flying over the forts and the shields on the armies (on the stategy map) i've changed the shields (loyalty shields) but i cant the flags to work. what do i do?

how do i change the forenames/surnames? the surnames/forenames are in the names.txt file but the faction ive created still has russian surnames (ive created the scots) how do i utilize these names? the reason my scots have russian surnames is because modded the novgorod faction (gave them scotland [took away novgorod], changed their name to the scots, and made them a major faction). just read the tutorial by AOD Bradfort (posted by kasskop at the boards of medievaltotalwar.com) here and youll see where i'm coming from.

more probs-when i click the scots the game loads and the red bar fills up---but then the game exits and returns to the desktop. when i decide to play the english in my mod and i click the scottish castle or army the game freezes
some of the numbers are in diff spots here bt in my .txt file they are in the normal spots. hope that makes sense...

Mod.txt

Edit: deleted large txt file. - Gregoshi

alman, would you mind if I deleted all that txt files above? That is an awful lot to go through. Offer your email address to anyone who would help and you can then email the files to them. They might do better troubleshooting with the files themselves and loading them up into and editor...but I'm no expert on modding either. I'll at least leave them there for a short while yet.

Also, didn't I provide you with the link to the castle flag changes?

alman, thanks, I deleted those hugh txt file posts. I'm also going to move this to the Dungeon forum since you have been promoted and can post there now.

To all Dungeon dwellers http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif : alman is having some problems with his mod. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. If it will help you, you can email him at the address in the post above and he can send you the files he modded. Thanks

I have removed the Mod.txt and Names.txt files from the MTW folder since they arent working (I still have them, though). I now have requested help by asking people to create a mod for me. It is posted in the "can someone make me a mod" thread i created today.

*Still if anyone wants to take a look at my modded files just email me.

ok problem found:
In the names.txt file you had replaced ["Novgorod"] with ["Scottish"]. This will not work because the bits in square brackets are the labels which the program looks for. Other than that everything seems ok.
