Im really gettin into editing now. And im tryin to make the muskets and bows in it more realsitic so Ive made the muskets pretty powerful, so that 18 people will die in a volley not 3. But it never works when I test it in custome battle. I use Gnomes Unit Editor and then save it in the MTW root directory. Can anyone help?

the only thing in projectile stats, that might give you that is accuracy, and lethality..you'll have to play with the numbers to get the desired effect your looking at.. i don't think you can tell it to kill 18 men every volley.. it's a mix of lots of combinations.. the two i mentioned, as well as valour effect the kill ratio.

I know that you have to enter the values in the column that like says:

Lethality
Accuracy
Power
Reload Time, etc

Ive done all this but it never works, I want to know why it doesent work.

Unless you tell us what you did
we can't tell you why it won't work
without explaining all factors involved.

When you say it won't work
what do you mean?

Do you want it to kill 6 times more
then the default settings for a gun?
Is that why they your called max_killer_payne

OK..

I just tried changing the accuracy of arquebus to 0.8 instead of 0.07 and less reload time too ofc http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

If you put your unit in 2 ranks you should get silly amount of kills (against unarmoured men) of about 18 per salvo from max range.

You can change lethality too. But I think it can only go up from the current 4 to about 5.5 as its multiplied with 18% and cant get higher than 100%

Basically what I did was changed the Accuracy, Lethality, Power and Reload Time so that Arbqs are a force to be reckoned with. I dont understand why it works for you guys and not for me http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mecry.gif

I think i've nearly cracked it I just massacared a 100 strong peasant unit with a volley, they lost 23 men in one volley, but the reload time didnt change, i wanted them to be able to reload alot faster.

If you put the reload time at 4 for example
the back row will have reloaded by the time
the first row have fired. It is almost a constant rate
of fire more akin to a breach loading rifle.
It seems to work quite well for the
Zulu battles we are trying to make.
At that rate of fire against non armoured
units you kill quite a few even without
increasing the other stats.

Perhaps the best advice {asside from the infamous "back up your files " http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif} is go one step at a time I think on a grand , sweeping scale {come with being a towering genius http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif} and must keep reminding myself of this . If you take the advice , you can easily locate any mistake {as it will be the last think you just altered} and not only easily correct it {even when you know what your doing , it is still VERY easy to misstype} but also learn quite a lot rather {and even supprisingly} quickly .
