Anyone else finding that the .org is causing their browser to be laggy lately? (especially notable when scrolling the page)

I'm finding it pretty bad & my PC is no slouch at all. No similar lag on other tabs/websites so its definitely somehow related to .org :inquisitive:

I've had one or two instances where all of a sudden the .Org refused to load (I didn't get an error message: threads would just stay "loading" for minutes). However, this always resolved itself after a quarter of an hour. Is that what you are experiencing?

Nope, I'm getting noticeable delayed response when scrolling the page or eg even typing this.
Feels like a PC processing power type issue but it can't be because other pages in other tabs are nice & snappy.

If it was sometimes happening with other pages & only sometimes with .org I'd be looking at my PC but its specifically .org I'm getting this with. Has me very confused.

I've noticed some lagging too but it isn't consistent. For example, if I want to bold a name, sometimes it take 2-4 seconds for the text to bold. Right at this moment, all is well as the bolding of "bold" was instantaneous. I've noticed the scrolling issue hoom mentioned as well, even when looking at a forum index. I have also had issue with slow page loads. Five seconds is "fast" but at times I have to wait 10 seconds or more for the load to complete, and this is in threads that are all text. I have an old PC (a Pentium 4) but most of those load seconds are in the "waiting for..." state.

Have Nidhogg been gnawing on the Transatlantic cables again? I have told him time and time again not to do so. He of course denies it when asked.

It could also be that our server power source is getting tired on the wheel from time to time. I asked Andres to feed him this week. Maybe he forgot? :sneaky:

I injected the hamster with steroids, so that can't be the problem.

The org's been very slow for me for days now. Slow as in minutes long load times, sometimes neverending loads. Today it has begun to double post. I click the button once, leave the page to dawdle its way through, and eventually end up back in the topic staring at two identical posts. Deleting the unwanted second post takes me through another series of slow loads. Gah!

Exactly the same problem here.

Yeah the .org's been near impossible to use the last few days, it spends forever in the 'loading page' phase.

Yep, and pages sometimes time out too.

Same for me. Loads slow or not at all interspersed with periods of normal activity. I think the hamster is messing with our minds.

Some one is using the ORG server to browse for non-Babe thread eligible pictures.

For me, it's been much better today. Maybe the host was making updates/backups over the weekend?

Definitely. I thought it was just chrome acting up since it does it on other websites as well, but i have multiple tabs open.
