Cant recruit all units

Im playing as the luso and i have the highest level of mics and still i cant recruit heavy cav in the south or the super heavy infantry in the north.

Any ideas on why this is?

EB goes by the practice of realistic and accurate recruitment. You won't be able to recruit any unit everywhere in the map, such as recruiting Iberian units in Egypt, or Indian units in Britain.

You should download the recruitment viewer (https://www.europabarbarorum.com/downloads_misc.html) if you don't have it already. It shows what units are recruitable where.

not sure about the heavy cav but if you're reffering to the human tanks as super heavy infantry then I have to tell you that they (and their irish brothers) were disabled, as the EB team realized that beeing able to recruit the ultra elite bodyguard of a "minor" tribes Chief as a regular unit would be not quite as accurate as they wanted EB to be. still you can "unlock" them with some simple modding just check the submod section ;)

There was a thread on the Lusotanian Cataphracts a while back. It appears their recruitment is bugged. Ca Putt is right about the Dosidataskeli being disabled, though.

There's no Lusotanian Cataphract but a Cataphract-like heavy IBERIAN cavalry. Iberian troops are only recruitable through the regional barracks. For the very heavy cavalry you need a type 4 goverment and the highest regional mic to recruit them in south-east iberia.

The lusos need regional MICs for all iberian units IIRC. Are they so different from the other iberian tribes? Other tribal factions can recruit units of neighbouring tribes usually through the factional MIC.

You are right: they aren't cataphracts. And them being in the regional barracks is the bug I mentioned. They should be factional, like other Iberian regionals.

Well. they function like cataphracts and have heavy horse barding, while not technically being cataphracts it's an easy term to remember.

Like how the Dosidataskeli, Thorakitai Agyraspidai, and Dubosaverlacica are better remember as foot-cataphracts or MAN TANKS.
