Who ya got?
Virtuall home game for Va.Tech (and 40,000 more peeps than BSU has ever seen) plus a running game that will pound a BSU team into the ground
VT by 10.
You were saying? :laugh4:
Boise State is for real, and it's a shame none of the power conference teams will play them.

Blegh. When you rush 4 and drop 7 you figure the middle of the field would be on lock. VT came out flat and got no pressure on Moore who quite simply picked them apart.
I still think schools like TCU and BSU make there living getting hyped for the 1 or 2 games a year where they play an AQ oppenent and everybody screams " REAL DEAL" I would love to see them go through an SEC, Big XII or Big 10 schedule. The AQ teams don't play them because if they win it's NBD and if they lose it's a black mark on the program.
I give BSU all the credit in the world for out excuting a VT team but the fact is that VT came out flat and mistake ridden and still nearly pulled the game out. Not to mention this is a BSU team that returned EVERYBODY.
BSU does not have the horses to compete with the big boys on a weekly basis. Petersen himself says they would never survive in a playoff
I agree that they would have trouble with a big conference sched, but unless the BCS wants them to take up one or two bowl spots each year, the big conferences need to offer up some real competition each year and beat them, instead of hoping they slip up with their weaker schedules. And the TCU-BSU Fiesta bowl matchup last year was a complete cop-out, I wonder how much the AQs gave the Fiesta Bowl for taking that pairing off their hands.
I was surprised VT would schedule BSU as their first game, without any kind of tune-up match first. Usually a good kicking of a DIAA team works out the kinks.

until you pull a appalachian state........
until you pull a appalachian state........
With all due respect to Appalachian State, Michigan just wasn't very good. And I doubt Ole Miss is going to set the college football world on fire this year either.

Boise State is the real deal, and I hope they win the BCS this year.
And if the big teams won't regularly play them, they can't complain about the schedule. By now it should be a big deal to beat them.
