in a battle lost against Aedui, i got the message of eagle lost, and that the eagle is in Gergovia.
now, few notes:
1- Gergovia is the Capital of Arverni, with whom i am in a neutral situation. why for the
hell they got an eagle taken by the Aedui?
2- what is the relevance of loosing an eagle? what happens if i don't recover it?

i mean, i loose an eagle often because i loose also a large army, and dn't have other big armies in the close. the time to raise a new army and send it to the town - and in this case i should declare war aginst a neutral faction - makes the remedy too late.

Maybe the Aedui sold it to them in return for some booze? That's kinda what happened in Astérix, at least.
Or perhaps your map information is outdated. Right-clicking on a part of the province around Gergovia will reveal its true owner.
