So on Friday my sister-in-law went into labour 5 weeks early. And my brothers son was born at 1:53 AM 9/11/10 (:laugh4:). He doesn't have a name yet, and he's in the NICU for a while till they're sure he's going to be OK. He has low blood sugar. And my mom has declared that unless they come up with a name she's going to call him Will, out last name being Smith. :sweatdrop:

Poor child. It is your constitutional duty to protect that child from your mothers 'naming' scheme!

Congratulations

She's only about half serious, it's more to light a fire under my brothers arse to name the tyke. But she wanted my sister to name her second born Will if it were a boy.

Not possible considering our family names aren't common. 4 generations of the men in my patrilineal line have carried the name Reuel (I do, it's the r in my user name), usually as a middle name, and my nephew will too.

I suggest they call him Sir, that way the teacher has to adress him as sir everytime he's been naughty, you couldn't wish for a better name!

Yesterday one of my cousins had her 2nd kid, a daughter. Now my cousins from both sides (all 30 of them, from 16-50yo) have had approximately 27 kids between them. I say approximately because I'd need to sit down and do a family tree to determine the exact number.

So they've decided to name him Haaken. Which is an alternate spelling of Haakon.

Why does nobody ever listen to me?

Because not all of your opinions are good ones. I personally perfer the name that was chosen!

I was going to suggest Daniel.

that way, his name is Daniel Smith; he'd blend right into the British population (even though you're in Canada). seriously; I have a friend named Daniel Smith, and he once complained that his name was so common, people shipped him Marijuana, which was meant for another person, also named Daniel Smith. :clown:

but seriously: nice name. at least he won't be called Will Smith :clown:

Why does nobody ever listen to me?

'cuz you are a communist phalangite living in Leiden* :jester:

*which doesn't really mean anything, but location always helps in describing a person. BTW I'm referencing an old detail of Shq's profile.

Why does nobody ever listen to me?

Because I am better than you.
