The "Where should i go next?" thread got me thinking. How about we fellow EB players post pictures of our campaigns and the description of the poltiical etc situation in the world and ask the rest of the EB community for commentary and advice? Sorta like what you do in the Faction progression thread but your actually looking for commentary and advice on your current campaign.

Heres mine.

Year is 205 BC Rome is still at war with Carthage, and only just exited a war with the Pltomies advancing near Lepki to aid their carthagiainin allies.

The Germanic advance into Gual has been halted and even reversed due to a devestating nearly 6 years of constant plague in all their major cities devestating their population their armies and their teasury (A plague I of course helped spread and maintain using my plagued spies after seeing an outbreak of plague in one of the Gualish cities near the Germanic border). The Germans are just recovering after this plague.

Carthage has been all but defeated fleeing into the Sahara Desert where the roman legions only dare to tentatively venture into let alone devout enough romans to take thier inland settlements. But Rome has reduced this once great seafaring merchantile nation into a landlocked nation of poor despots. Rome has only sent mercenaries and assassins to the ruling lords of Carthage in an effort to eliminate them so far.

the Plotomies have become a large and vast empire absorbing nearly half of the Selucid Kingdom in the west and some of the persian provinces. and Phalva or Parthia as its coming to be called is content to be at peace with its large Greek ruled nieghbor to the west by waging war upon the Haydasan Kingdom.

Rome itself has just begun to enter Greek lands capturing Sparta the former Helion capital and then Crete and Korinthos with her mighty Post Marian Legions.

The thing I want advice on is currently in my campaign like ive mentioned i dont want to venture into the inland Carthagain provinces to finish them off neither do i want to go into Eygpt to capture the Plotomies homeland yet (due to logistics and the massive culturual penalties). So far I'm aiming to conquer the Greek Penninsula to use as a stepping stone towards Anatolia rather than go the southern route though Africa.

Any adivce you guys could give me in diviidng and conquering the Yellow death and to deal with Carthage without needing to conquer their dam worthless provinces?

I don´t know, if the Carthaginians can handle the culture penalty of the Ptoleys, but if you want to keep them alive, and, at the same time, weaken the Ptoleys, why don´t you invade Egypt, and give those settlements to the Carthies, so they can make a fresh start? :)
It would be a super D-Day, i guess, but this way you can grab those worthless desert settlements from the Carthies and let them rebel, to keep a buffer zone between their new and former home.

Like i said i dont really want to invade Eygpt yet lol. The land route is so tedious so im favoring a sea route from either Crete or Salamis(thier new Capital). Plus Its not like i mind Carthage being destroyed just that i dont want to bother capturing Tuat and Garama. Thier worthless money wasters specially Tuat yet their heavily fortified by the cartagianans with mass amounts of units.

I might need to build up an army of spies to inflirtrate Eyptian providnces and see if i cant find a plagued city to spread the whole ting around again. It worked rather well with reversing the German Advance into Gual (which they were even capturing Gualish homeland territories).

As far as I can tell, plenty of people already do that in the "Post your EB Empires!" thread. -M

Damn... The Maks and Selukids really got the short end of the stick in your campaign, 'ey? Anyway, I, for one, would say do what you said you were going to do an conquer Greece. Give the KH and Epiros a good thrashing, then turn your gaze either to the Gauls in Europe or, if you feel ready, the Ptolemaic juggernaught. Also, once you head into northern Greece, I'd advise keeping clear of the Sauromatae's field armies if you possibly can (that is, if they decide to attack you or vice versa). The only battles you want your Cohors Reformata to get into with them are settlement battles where their HAs are effectively negated...

build a merc stack in Africa , capture those 2 settlements of Carthies and let them rebel. that way you wont be attacked later by carthaginian armies when u least expect it. Also , if u dont want to go into egypt , a nice option would be the gauls/sweboz territories. Or even a expeditionary force into Britain from Spain.
Last target i would want is Asia Minor. That would be a anti-stack war which is long , tedious , expensive , and wont eliminate any factions too soon:)
