Something I'm not entirely clear on with the system in 1.2. Can a recruited general or client ruler change status after their second turn?

As in if you leave a recruited general in a settlement on their second turn, and they become a client ruler, are they forever thus?

Similarly, if you take them campaigning, can they no longer become a client ruler of a newly-conquered settlement?

I'm wondering if I recruit a general to take a settlement, I won't then be able to use them as the client ruler of a type IV government.

A recruited general can turn into a client ruler, if you let him build a type iv government in the newly conquered settlement, if I'm not mistaken

Yes, he'll change. He will get the impostor trait before the lvl4 is built though.

Has anyone seen the reverse happen, i.e. a client ruler turn into a recruited general? I've transplanted a client ruler across half the map, and I don't recall him ever changing into a recruited general on the 3-year journey. (I gave away his first city in a peace deal, then exiled him to run a Black Sea city - every winter he'd get sick, and the fleet he was on would have a movement allowance of one...)

Nope, it's not possible without using the give_trait command since there's no trigger that reverts the Client Ruler trait.
