Fantastic hats of to Chile engineers, what a marvel to pull of. And to the miners who wanted their friends to be saved first.

An incredible feat; boring through 700 meters of earth and rock in a way never before done in human history and pulling 33 men up through a tiny hole in that rock.

Yeah I was watching live as the last miner came out, remarkable scenes. I can't help but respect Chile, I saw their fighting spirit at the World Cup but this whole story is pretty incredible.

I saw it on the news while I was at a Mexican restaurant, but it was in Spanish so I didn't know what exactly was going on.

Man on the moon was something novel of the like had never been done before.

They managed to dig down to a depth that their miners were already at. Bravo on the speed and bravo for the miners not loosing it, but I think "man on the moon" is hyperbole.

It's pretty amazing what they've done, but to be honest, the footage is a bit boring.

a bit boring???

I think the only way the news channels can top this is to actually start broadcasting paint drying!

I´m glad the miners got out ok.....but this is way too boring to warrant hours and hours of live broadcasting of a bunch of people standing around a well.

kk but I'm a drama-whore. Still an amazing rescue, not just a mine but a collapsed mine so instable as can be. Now that they are out it doesn't look all that much but it was incredibly dangerous. Tons of feelgood.

I didn't give a crap 66 days ago. And I sure as hell don't give a crap now. Disasters like this is why I never watch news programs.
