I gave blood again today, and beforehand I had to force myself to eat a poptart. But a few hours after my blood had been drained from me, I noticed a gaping pit where my stomach used to be. I tried to fill the void with some snackage, but I didnt even hear it when it struck the bottom. That having been said, In the last 7 hours I have eaten a steak, two apples, a pudding cup, two brownies, a bowl of popcorn, an insane salad, three packages of ramen, a bag of cheetos, and currently contemplate going back to the kitchen for more. And I have not had much of an appetite in the last few weeks! It has been a while since I have eaten like this, and between naps, no less.
(Just as a measure of the effect, I wiegh ~120 pounds and am 5'8")

Heh heh heh, you're kinda tiny.
I'm about the same height, only I weigh 140.
I had to have a whole bunch of blood drawn last Tuesday to have some tests done and the same thing happened to me, I got really hungry and really tired afterwards. I think it's because your body has to work really hard to make up for the loss of blood.

I can relate completely. First time I gave blood was in college, they took two baggies of it outta me. Thankfully the local pizza joint had donated a ton of pizza and some juice boxes as incentive. In all honesty I still think this is probably the most food I've ever eaten in one sitting, but I ate an entire 18" pepperoni pizza by myself, and drank god knows how many of those juice boxes.
Sounds like heaven. Bottomless hunger and naps. Pity I'm not allowed to donate blood.

Yeh. They are worried that all Brits have it. :confused:
When I was in high school, we used to hang around at a friends house and smoke marijuana. His father worked for Keebler and was never home, hence the reason we would stay there. His father also had one of the bedrooms in the home filled litterally from wall to wall, floor to ceiling with boxes of Keebler products (cookies, crackers, etc.). It was a great place to get stoned! :D The 'Keebler Room' was legendary!

I can imagine! The stomach seems bottomless when the mind is high. I can recall still wanting to eat when feeling physically full, continuing to eat until physically unable!
