Well i have tried a few times to get europa barbarorum to work on my families computer. Usually I screw up some little detail and can't get it to run (i was a little uneducated about computers back then). But about a month and a half ago i relapsed on my Rome: Total War addiction, and yet i still craved something novel. And so i tried to install europa Barbarorum. I'm pleased to say i succeeded and absolutely loved the game. It was better than i could have ever hoped. Played when i could for about a week, was doing very well as the Lusitania when suddenly the computer utterly freezes. Ctrl+alt+delete does no good and it wasn't even responding to manual shut down. so after waiting nearly an hour i was kind of forced to pull the plug.

Well i tend to have obsessive qualities so the next day i started playing again. And after ~2 hours of play my comp freezes again. Well i repeat the above process and walk away, frustrated. My brother then attempts to turn on the computer and he gets a blue screen. Takes us weeks to get the thing running correctly again and only after a reformat.

So i have to ask you guys, do you think it was the game?

Gah!

I saw the Blue Screen of Death once, it was a scary sight. It was from a torrent I rekon, I had to reformat unfortunately!

I don't think the game would have caused that problem for you, had you installed/downloaded some programs from untrustworthy sites? That would be my guess.

RTW (and EB especially) really push a computer hard, maxing out its CPU and video card. What's the cooling like on the PC? Are all the fans still turning, clean, and with good airflow? If you put your hand up to the exit vents after playing EB for an hour, do you feel a strong flow of warm air (good sign), or a weak flow of very hot air (bad sign)? The first couple of crashes sound like heat-related problems...
