Why did the Wes mod allow crusades to wander endlessly thru my 4 provinces for 20 frickin years. How do we/I fix this?

He didn't really mess with how they wandered. He just made them cost differently and have different troops. They just tend to wander sometimes. Oh well.

Seriously, the AI pathfinding for crusades is COMPLETELY OUT OF OUR CONTROL. It's HARDCODED. Bitch to CA about it not Wes http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

Either you're moving your fleets around too much and confusing them {they will use allied trade routes to travel ... moving ships about can confuse them because they are dumb} , or the ally they intend to work with is moving their fleets to the same end , or there is just some sort of rare bug in your game .
Try making/keeping a nice trade route highway for them and they might take it .
I have had a few odd occasions where a crusade went haywire : once one simply kept bouncing back and forth between Poland {I was Polish} and Hungary perpetually like a mental patient , another had AI Factions deploying several crusades at once {As in two or three French and Two or three German , and again multiple Itallian etc all at once and dammed anoying as it is impossible to maintain decent armies when they keep comming through your territories in such numbers ... trying to stop so many at once would have been impossible at the time} and I have had to simply wipe that game and start over on occasions {I don't play to be anoyed : there are more than enough people in real life hell bent on being anoying to induce me to seek such for entertainment http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif} .
