Portraits messed up

The portraits of arabs, pagans, anyone all look european. I have patch 1.1 and medmod 1.84. Only the leaders resemble their ethnicty. this truly odd.

Alman, I think you need to uninstall and then re-install both the game and the mod. You keep getting errors that no one else is reporting, so I think you did something when you were looking at mixing and matching mod files.

I only have the patched version of the game and I too have noticed that the Mongols look strangely like white men. Even more odd is that I find that Egyptians have a propensity for having blonde generals (coincidence most likely but the portraits are still european).

What I have noted is certainly not as far reaching as what alman is stating (the majority of the portraits still come out OK but not a large majority), but I do experience the same phenomenon albeit on a smaller scale.

Well, I just looked through some of the Muslim generals' portraits, and none of them looked European. I don't know off-hand where the setting is for what portraits to use; it may be inaccessible to us. Maybe it will be straightened out in VI.
