I'm just happy Colby Lewis had a good game.
It was nice watching him kicking :daisy: as he did back in Japan.
Giants was a better team overall. Victory well deserved
The world series? Do you mean other people play it??

What's a world series?
It's when the US plays itself and then declares itself the winner of the entire world.

The MLB is the most prestigious league to play baseball. It is filled with the best players from all over the world from Asia, United States, Dominican Republic, and many other countries. Mlb scouts search for the best players around the world and offer them large contracts to join the club. When the playoffs are at the end there is nobody left except for two teams. This is called the world series because all that is left are two teams filled with the very best players form all over the world.
Some argue that because the teams are from only two countries, the United States and Canada it should not be called the "world" series. Comparisons to the World Cup of Football (aka soccer) are often made to highlight the very narrow band of countries that comprise the baseball World Series. But what something should be called and why and what something is called are two different things."
Still, out of the 30 teams a team no one thought was gunna make it did. Giants won, first time in 50 years. Its something to celebrate.

Why don't they call it a States Series then?

Here's list of current Major League players (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_current_Major_League_Baseball_players_by_nationality) *doesn't include the minor league system* by nationality. Appears they recruit from Latin America & East Asia mostly. Obviously, this means THE REST OF YOU WEENIES DON'T COUNT.
Congrats Veho! Did y'all invite Barry to the celebration?
Congratulations to the Giants. I am just glad that the Yankess didn't win! The putrid Yankees winning again would have been awful!

Its called a world series because it includes players from around the world. Im sure if teams sprung up and had a large enough fan base in other countries and got accepted into the MLB then it truly could become a world series.

Get back under yer bridge.
Get back under yer bridge.
Isn't it the world's bridge rather than ours? I mean it's on it after all
