I am eagre for the release as well. Let's hope it lives up to the original and is worthy of being called it's new and improved sequel!

I hope that is a soft date, i.e., it can be pushed back if that AI (among other things) isn't perfect.

Just glad they have an idea of its finish. I hope the AI doesnt prolong its release as I think its safe to say from any hardcore MP players AI doesnt make a difference. :)

Tbh i cant see big improvements in the ai, in 10 years with single player as the main focus they couldent even do naval invasions which is as simple as board the ship sail to land exit the ship. Sounds good on paper but i bet its the same old ai.

But for the casual SP player it does. Me, I don't care about any multiplayer feature at all; far as I'm concerned CA could axe the whole thing. All I care about are interesting game mechanics, a good AI and some docs so people can mod the game to new heights.

Anyway, is it just me or is the 15th of march a nice play on the popular wish for a new Rome?

Because we can all see how much better the mods are becoming from RTW/M2TW to ETW/NTW.

True True. I did enjoy the campain in previous titles before emp/Nap.

But it is what I personally, as a casual SP player care about. Since right now neither Empire nor Napoleon offer anything compelling in that regard I do not consider those titles worth buying.
It will not be particularly disastrous to me if Shogun proves to be a poor SP with little replay/modding value: I still have EB 2 to work towards, and AUH to look forward to. (Plus I might give PKH a try because of their awesome castles.)

So with a release date does that mean the AI is perfect already?

Ignoring the sarcasm ~:pat:, it may be when they think the AI will be perfect according to the plan. However, as I said previously, I hope they have the ability and the courage to move that date if it or other parts of the game aren't.

Eh, I think that it will be pushed off a month by the devs to "polish it even more," just like they did with ETW.

Don't know what name I'll take for S2TW MP. Yamana Toyosada or Imagawa Yoshimoto even.... :balloon2::book:

Wasn't Empire released around March, too? Not being rushed for Christmas didn't seem to help it.

Right, time to start saving up some money for a new system.

Empire was a new engine this game will be the 3rd generation of that engine and the only totalwar game to be 3rd in a generation of the same engine and should be the best yet if you ask me!

I like that thinking. They don't need to work out issues with a new engine, but focus on fixing what needs fixing and any new features. :2thumbsup:

Maybe thats what they meant with their revolutionary approach to mp ;)
