Hi,
1. A mod which changes some strategy map models of naval units (merchanting ships, warships etc.)
2. Here (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?97465-The-Naval-StratMap-Mod&p=1797231#post1797231)
3. I am 95% sure it will not mess up anything.

This needs to be transferred to the unofficial mods section, if I'm not mistaken. I am 93.59(236) percent sure it will not ruin your installation.
Yeah, but there's still a 6.41% chances of ruining everything!
Except that if he uses Alexander, his chances will expand and divide. 2.1276% to screw it up completely, 7.157841% to cause some troubles and 90.714559% to correctly work

I've try that and nothing wrong happened  , nice new stratmodels... and changing stratmodels won't normally gave you a problem (except when used with another stratmodel changing submod, where the files need to be redrescribed...

Thank you CP. I'm not sure how the customs work, whether requests for certain types of assistance are allowed in the main forum. Because seemingly it doesn't work the same for all threads. For instance, this thread has to do with a submod, and since the response can be a simple link, it's fine to see it here. If it were tech related, and the person had an issue with EB or a submod, he or she'd be transferred to the submod or tech sub-forum. The varieties and where they belong still confuse me to this day, so I try to stay away from making such requests for assistance (I don't recommend this; if you have issues with EB, I recommend asking for help in any case, as it's a good idea).
Maybe it's simply because I am not always consistent? ~D
There is no rule against threads about submods/bugs in the main forum; I move threads to the appropriate subforums to make the information easier to find. In this case there already is a thread about the naval_strat mod, which also answered the compatibility question, so no new information was provided. Moving this thread wouldn't add anything to the submod forum.
And, of course, occasionally I am in a hurry and only skimread the threads without wondering if they are in the right place.
