Bactria!!!

I have just finished my Bactria campaign and thought this an excellent opportunity for another boring "Thank you Thank you Thank you" post for all the hard work creativity and diligence. I have been playing Total War since a little after Rome and tried pretty much everything that came after (BI, Alexander, MTW2, Kingdoms, even Empire though that was a terrible disappointment). I still cant get enough. The Bactrian campaign was very very satisfying and I recommend that everyone playing EB try it. I just felt the need to drop a note and let everyone know what i thought of it! Really really satisfying... fulfilling as anything I've played in the Total War Series. Once more GREAT JOB!!! MANY THANX!!!

I remember my first time with them, oohh yeah those Sakas destroyed me completly........I lost.
But it was awesome finally "losing" to AI........:furious3:

Obviously, revenge was MINE later........But its a story too bloody and scary to hear..... :smash: :laugh:

Yeah the campaign as baktria is very interesting indeed! I remember I had some luck and the Seleucids left me alone for some good time which I spent eating their eastern provinces and when I was rich enough I got tired of annoying Pahlava and Saka so I went on a hunt against the nomads> with my mines I raised a fullstack of baktrioi hippotoxotai, a pair of hellenikoi kataphractoi and a few prodromoi and levy skirmishers for garrison. I gained nothing valuable from this campaign, except for a secure flank. Then I captured India, and turned west into the AS. Then my PC died and I lost my campaign :(

Baktria is easy actually, I spam archer spearmen and peltastai, and still win significant territories before AS start the usual Argyraspidai spam and I must counter em with phalanx on my own

That is why I quit playing on VH!
H/H is ok for me, although battles needs careful leadership my HAs have no problem since upper diffuculty setting does not give any bonus on defence...
