Hey, I am nearing the end of the 3rd century BC as the Romani and have encountered a bit of an annoying problem that cannot be overcome with use of the console. The eleutheroi will not end their turn, the game does not crash immediately, but the turn never seems to end. If i try to load another save or alt-tab the game crashes. I have waited 10 minutes at a time before giving up.

If anyone knows how I can get around this I would appreciate help.

Welcome to the forum!

1. Load a previous save and play until you come to the crash-date, does it hang up similar?
2. play the turn without activating the script, activate it one turn later
3. upload your current save-game, I'll give it a try at my machine (but not until weekend)

Unfortunately I only have that save so I can't attempt to load an older one. Like a fool, I also saved right before the battle, during the Sweboz turn, so I am completely stuck and unable to change anything.

How would I upload my save?

This may help you (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?80870-How-%28and-why%29-to-post-a-SaveGame)

Keep in mind to have multiple saves, and do never save during the AI-turn or before a battle, the RTW-engine is very buggy in this section.
FYI, I save every winter-turn into a different slot and overwrite them after 10years, so I always have a backup some turns ago.

I'm quite sure why your game is bugged, but without a save during your own turn I can't do much. Did you disable auto-save?
I'm sorry, try to keep multiple saves in the future.

I figured it was probably hopeless so I started again, taking your advice, it has actually helped me once already (game crashed when a city of mine rebelled), so I think from now on I will just follow your advice and make sure I don't land myself in this position anymore. Thanks for your help.
