But cant remember the name. From what I remember, I think it had something to do with Russia (I believe I saw a Mosin). The only thing I remember about it is that, while using a sniper rifle, you can switch from the scope to iron-sights mounted on top of it. Also the sniping was supposed to be incredibly realistic.

anybody know this game? I saw it online and I thought it was really cool but I cannot remember it.

Also: Bioshock 2 or Stalker:Call of Pripyat? which is better?

Stalker:Call of Pripyat is awesome. Bioshock is unadulterated garbage.

Sounds like Red Orchestra. Good choice on Stalker, terrific game, awesome atmosphere and very challenging

Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad (http://www.heroesofstalingrad.com/) will allow the change from scope to iron sights as shown here @ 3:40.

The game is not out yet, though.

Red Orchestra is an amazing game - by far the most realistic shooter I've ever encountered. It ruined the COD/MOH/Battlefield series for me permanently. I play Red Orchestra: Darkest Hour (a Western Front mod for the original) almost every day now, and new maps are always coming online. It was by far the best $15 I've ever spent on a game.

Tripwire is a really good developer and I have very high hopes for Heroes.

So did I but it has cooled off a bit with stuff like UAVrecon planes and radar. Just seems like some of the hardcore realism is going away.

Whats your name in game? We should play a bit. You ever play on the 29th company or euro severs?

No bullet penetration through walls though.

RO2 looks awesome in that respect however.

Inserting the MKb 42(h) into a game about Stalingrad also gave me pause, but I am holding out faith. The prevelance of the STG44 in Red Orchestra is not exactly historical, but it is at least plausible for the maps it is on. Supposedly TW found a picture of it being used in the city, although I find that rather dubious.

If they can get the weapon handling, armor, and basic battle dynamics hammered out, everything else can be modded if it is too intrusive/fantastical.

Stephen. I play on the 29th server all the time, no euros though. Are you Veho Nex in game?

Yes, the engine is showing its age a bit. Hopefully such new capabilities as destructible environments will be used to enhance the game's realism, not turn it into a COD clone.

RO is very good, if I could find any servers that have a low latency I'd play it all the time. But, so much lag = unplayable. Australia is too far away.
