They are awesome. Due to getting 4 inches of snow on Sunday night, and then heavy icing the next night that turned all of that snow into ice, tomorrow will be my 4th day of no school because of it.
I love how unprepared Atlanta is for winter weather.

Future FBI Agent? Lol. But yeah, yeah, cool story, bro. It started getting past the -30's C where I am, finally. For the first week of January, and if I didn't know any better, I might have mistook it for September based on the weather.
Yea snow days are fun, but unfortunately for me where I live it snows once a year and it melts when it hits the ground.
It snows alot where I live and they rarely close the schools. I mean....if we get a good blizzard that drops a few feet in the wee hours of the morning.....

Thats because you guys have snowplows.
EDIT: Just got word that school will be out tomorrow as well. Wow, a snow week.
This is insane. And coupled with MLK day, this is one helluva long vacation.
snowplows = racial tension.
Tell me how that makes sense.

We had about two and a half feet of snow until they said it was the coldest winter in a thousand years, then it started to melt. It should be 11C (almost 50°F) today but the sun still isn’t out.
Spring flowers are starting to come up and the ski areas are starting to suffer.
Meantime, my kids in the area of Seattle posted pictures of about 6 or 7 inches of show at the seashore.

2010, together 2005 is the warmest year on record. (http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/sotc/global/)
Generally, it seems that there the La Niña and a negative NAO that messes up most of the weather.
Here, we haven't had temperatures above 0 C since 4:th of November. And got about 60 cm of snow. Nothing extreme, but that the cold is so lasting is unusual.
What?
A man used the fact that plow the east side of my town first as evidence of racism in the city. But, if you notice that the east side is larger....
